not for kids
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.my daughter was excited to get this game prior to nintendo releasing it, she even watched the videos youtube for it, unfortunately when she got it and and i saw how to play it, it was too violent for her age (9), sadly can't return to best buy. also there is no 2 player option, not a fun thing to watch for parents.

There is no local multiplayer, and this is a heavily online game, so do not purchase unless you are looking for that. Even then, it's slow, plodding, and basic, though it earns some points for originality (unless you have played the first Splatoon: it's just more of the same).
