If you're new to the Wii and want something to break the monotony of Mario Kart and Smash, Splatoon is the game to get. With an online mode that delivers days of content, its the perfect for the player who might be averse to shooters and online gaming-- Nintendo's made it easier to ease into modern gaming than any other company out there.

Great action shooter and single player campaign game!

The premise is simple....paint the town. You can play in a multi-player team game or the story mode game...both are fun. The team game seems to be more engaging and the battles are fun and even when you lose (not often) it was still fun to play. The story mode has some difficult areas, but still fun for the family. Graphics are ok, colors are vivid and the concept is a hybrid of other games you've likely played before.

Splatoon is a fantastic game for everyone... even if you think you wouldn't be into this game, you'll be surprised at just how enjoyable it is to play. They've made a competitive multiplayer game lose all the toxicity that usually follows these types of games, made the game not really about shooting opponents, but painting the terrain with such a wide variety of tools that it can fit a wide variety of playstyles. They've added a wealth of new items, modes, and maps to this game since it launched... all for free! It's worth the purchase... and far better than originally received even (which was well). Get it!

My family lives this games, especially my daughter. I let my nephew play and he wanted to play minecraft, I said no. . I waneed a break. He played this and didn't want to play anything else. I also love that you can play at the same time and help each other out.

This is a great and creative alternative to our modern day FPS/TPS similar to COD. Wonderful for kids, families, and all ages if you are not closed minded. Hopefully FPS/TPS vides games get more innovative in the future like this one. It also have amiibo support.

it was awesome. i love all the new content they add. esepcailly all the customization outfits which makes it exciting and different everytime. Fun game to play with friends, i just wish more players could play on one tv without just having to play online.

Splatoon is one of Nintendo's first major IPs in years, and it does not disappoint! With a fun singleplayer campaign and tons of current and future content coming to the expansive online, anybody can pick up and enjoy this game.

Our kids like this game quite a bit. You can play on-line against players online. The problem is that if you want a game the family can play together this is not it. You cannot play the game with 2,3,4 people. There are some mini-games that you can play with two people but you need one of the pro-controls which we do not own.

I must say that the game is amazing! You ask me why and I would say because there are 4 vs 4 online where we battle each other until one of teams win! Also, the Amiibos are best idea for this too. You guys gotta buy and play this!

Breakout game! Fun for the whole family!!!!!!!!!!!

You just can't beat this game. It completely redefines what to expect from a third person shooter. The goal is no longer to just kill as many people as possible, instead you're tasked with covering as much ground as possible with ink. Kills are still important to control how much your opponent can cover so if that's your thing you can still go for kills. Ranked mode changes things up by giving you different objects like controlling zones or reverse capture the flag.

A brand new IP from Nintendo, I was skeptical at first. Splatoon has painted my impressions of it so positively. The community is active and the constant updates make it easy to go back to.

When it comes to online shooters on the Wii U there isn't a lot to choose from, but that doesn't matter because Splatoon is the best. Nintendo also puts out new weapons and maps for FREE.

Splatoon is a team based online shooter for all ages. Instead of bullets, you use ink to paint the map. It's very addicting and also has a single player mode that is fun as well. 9/10

I like third-person shooting game a lot more than the first-person ones. Sadly there are not many. Splatoon is the best third-person shooting game I have played in 2015.

Great online shooter from Nintendo. Two player mode can only be played offline though and is very disappointing. Would not recommend if you're looking to play with a friend on the couch. Game gets updates often and is still supported.

This game is for kids but adults will love it too. Yes, you need more than one controller if you want to play with more than one person... Fairly obvious though. Also this game gets a lot of updates all the time online.

This is an addicting fun online shooter that's only gotten better since it launched. It's a must have for any Nintendo fan.

Great game for kids to play. My munchkins compare it to Call of Duty but for kids with paint and no killing.
