A very fun online multiplayer game. Single player and local multiplayer leave a bit to be desired though. The different gameplay makes it stand out from other shooters in a good way. With future free DLC coming along with updates, this game will still have hype going for it in the longrun. For owners of a Wii U, this is a must have in your library of games. While not perfect, this game will keep you coming back for more.

I saw the ads for this game and it looked kind of neat. After buying it, it was that and then some. 7 year old can easily navigate, and I even get to play it sometimes (when they eventually have to put the controller down). Fun for the whole family. It's the next Mario for the new generation.

this is a great multiplayer shooter for the whole family. You shoot ink instead of bullets, so no blood and gore. If you are wondering about the annoying people speaking filth out of their mouths, no worries here the interface does not allow that. Awesome addition to the Nintendo collection.

Due to a recent update that will be happening very soon, now is the perfect time to get this game. Family friendly, concept easy to grasp. Provides hours of fun and entertainment. Game is still under construction, so this is why there are updates happening that are making it even more enjoyable.

This is a great game unlike any other. It's a completely new experience that I've never had in any other game and it's really addictive. The game doesn't come with a lot of game modes but they will be adding more. This is definitely a game I will be playing on and off for the foreseeable future.

This game takes a different approach than most modern shooters. Rather than being dark and grim, the game is colorful. Although the game looks primarily like a children's game, it is quite far from that. The combat is deep and well done. It's a refreshing game in the world full of CoD and BF.

Kids really have enjoyed this game. Great for younger audience looking for less violence.

Nintendo has turned territorial based shooting into competitive painting and made it ridiculously fun. After sinking hours into Splatoon I find myself thinking about it throughout the day and wanting to play more. It has surprising depth and always keeps you wanting to play "one more match."

This game is fast paced with lots of weapons and upgrades. Many different ways to paint.

Splatoon is an absolute blast to play (either online or 1v1 local)! A large array of weapons and class assortment, rotating arenas, unique gameplay, and interesting online ranking keeps me coming back. One of the better online games currently available for the WiiU. A must-have, for sure!

This game is refreshing to get away from the realistic FPS and the like. Very kid friendly, Hours of fun. There is a strategy to it, but you need to read up and play around to figure out what works best for you. Only real quirk I dont care for is the beginning "news" updates that seem to drag on before being able to get into a match. Other then that, I would highly recommend this for hours of Wii U fun.

This game is very entertaining and really connects with my kids. There is a lot of interaction between the squid people in a world full of events and battles which you must take part in. Its just like playing a paintball game only way more fun and exciting. There is a lot of weapons to choose from. Gave it a 4 out of 5 stars only BECAUSE in the end it is just a shooting game without any kind of a story.

So far this seems to be a really cool game. As we are just getting used to how things work we have not done the online portion yet. Not sure what it is like to play with others online. Not sure if we are ready for that. Still a bit young, which is a little disappointing to my son.

great game even if you are a hardcore gamer like myself. easy to pick up and is really different in terms of gameplay. instead of getting the highest k/d you need to cover the map with ink and make sure the other team doesnt out ink you. local coop is lacking, but the online is great

I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed Splatoon. A shooter by Nintendo with some very fun twists on the typical shooter gameplay and objectives. I didn't expect it to be a great as it is and with all of the free post-launch support that it's still receiving, it's a must buy!

with the market flooded with the same old boring shooters, this is a fresh breath of air with unique gameplay. online is buttery smooth with no lag or connection issues. it's a blast to play, both online and through the single player story. the last bost fight is definitely epic!

This is such a refreshing game. I'm so into this game. The mechanics are spot on. Turning into a squid then popping up and splatting someone is priceless. Graphics are great. Online games are lag free and quick. I love the mini game while waiting for the game to load. Must buy!!

The game is quite good. It's a fast-paced, simple shooter that is fun for all ages and audiences. In this game you control a person of a young age. In this game you also control an organism of the genus cephelopoda. You have to control your turf and whoever has the most ink of their color on the ground by the time time runs out wins. Quirky, silly fun. Even if it discriminates against octopods.

This game is ridiculously fun, which is very surprising because it comes off as such a simple concept. It's very easy to spend hours playing online, and the regular (free) DLC and updates keep things interesting. Split-screen is fun (1v1) and the campaign also has its merits.

A fun game for anyone in the family who would like to try a unique shooter. Colorful, a lot of options, but lacks on the single player side. Multiplayer is the way to go. Happy that there is no chat. Tired of 9 year olds swearing all the time and then quitting half way through a match when they can't compete. Nintendo does it again. Not afraid to try something different. Another winner!
