I don't play multi-player games - at all. This one though got me hooked. It's fun, can be played with the kids. It would be nice if they allowed you to communicate with your team though. Especially in ranked battles. If you have a Wii U you should definitely purchase this one.

This is one of the Big N's best games in years. Splatoon is extremely addictive. I keep saying to myself "just one more game" before I realize a few hours have crept by. It's fast, fun and very sweet. There's nothing more satisfying than swimming around in your ink as a squid.

Don't be fooled by the bright colors on the box and in the game, this game has deep mechanics which require quick finger and an even quicker reaction time. The gameplay consists of covering the floor, the walls and your enemies in your color ink and whoever covers more of the map within the time limit is deemed the winner. Use splat guns, rollers, brushes and even buckets to your advantage. When you need to get around quickly or escape unseen, turn into a squid and swim through your ink, even up walls! Cover enough ground and unleash powerful special moves like the ink strike or gain the ability to (temporarily) transform into the invincible Kraken! With a slew of online modes and a hefty single player campaign with extra levels unlocked using Splatoon Amiibo*, (not to mention regular Splat-fest tournaments and free weapon and customization updates), Splatoon is sure to keep you busy for a long time. *Amiibo sold separately

I played the single player modes twice, short but sweet! The final boss is a little bit challenging. The online experience is fantastic and addictive. I just cannot stop playing. I played on average 3-4 hours each day. I have to sell it because I have a lot of work to do.

The Wii U may not have as many games as the Xbox One or PS4, but what it lacks in quantity it makes up in quality. Splatoon is a fun multiplayer shooter for kids and adults alike. You can just hop into online matches for a fun time. Loads of fun to play with friends.

Splatoon is a fun game. You can play online for a turf war, or play story mode and save creatures who have been captured. You can buy accessories for your squid person such as shoes, clothing, hats, and weapons.

My son has played the game everyday since purchase, however extremely disappointed the 3 pack amibos were sold out the same day game was released. Still unable to find them anywhere. Not right to have several copies of game but only limited number if 3 pack series amibos.

Thought I would buy this for my kids since it seemed kid friendly and I was surprised on how much I am playing it . It is different kind of FPS fun and it fees like old school Nintendo games, simple mechanics that anyone can enjoy yet it has deep enough skill gameplay.

I've played this game for 30 hours since launch, but I know others who have clocked almost 100 hours. I've had dreams about playing this game. The game mechanics are so fun, and it's extremely satisfying to gain experience, unlock items, and just get better at the game.

Splatoon is one of the best games ever. Nintendo really outdid themselves by making this great game. I enjoy all the teamwork you do with your team to claim your turf in turf war. In ranked battle I enjoy all the modes that you can do. But the best of all is Splatfest.

The game itself is entertaining enough to play for a little while. If they had better multiplayer options, I could see me and my friends spending more time with the game. But, because you can only play alone, I quickly moved on to other games and consoles. Overall, the game is fun and cute and worth playing, but, I only played it for a few days before I basically forgot I had it.

This game is just plain fun. Basically, it's a territories game. Your team needs to spread the most ink of your color to win. One of the best games on Wii-U for sure.

This may not be a first person shooter, but it's got all the elements and multiplayer madness to qualify. There's a fun story mode to whip you into shape for the online multiplayer. Unique weapon and clothing options keep it fresh. Fun music too. Great Amiibo support. Too bad we have to wait on updates to see new weapons, maps, and modes. At least it keeps us coming back for more.

Game is great! Got it for the kids because they tried the testfire demo on various occasions and loved it. I gave it a go once we bought it and was more than pleasantly surprised at the intuitive controls, plus it's just plain fun to play. A++ title from Nintendo!!

This game is a shooting game, but not at all like Call of Duty or other mature games. This is a kid-friendly, family-oriented game that all members can play. In fact, you don't even need to shoot each other to win the match. Totally love it. Totally recommend it!

This is a really well written and compelling game that my two kids have decided to adopt as their future careers ! They play whenever they have free time against their friends on-line or against each other! A great way to bring family together and lots of fun!

This is the best Wii U game I've played yet, with the possible exception of Mario Kart. Rounds go quickly enough that you're able to pick it up and play for just a short time, although it's so addictively fun that you'll have trouble stopping. Highly recommended!

I am really surprised how much I like this game. It's not perfect by any means, but it is a lot of fun. There is actual strategy involved. As a grownup I can play this or let the kids play as well. I think there is a lot to build on when the next one is released.

I didn't want to spend $60 for a Wii U game, so we waited for the price to go down. The game is a little challenge for my 7 yr old, but our daughter helped him out when needed. The game is good at teaching how to play as a team, something everyone needs to learn.

I wasn't sure about Splatoon but got it anyway because of a friends recommendation. I'm sure glad I did because this is the most fun I have had playing a video game in years. I highly recommend this game to everyone that wants to have fun playing a video game!!!!
