A non-violent shooter! Super fun with breathtaking graphics. The short single-player campaign is delightful. But this game is all about the online multiplayer battles. Noticeably missing is a way for two people to play online together on the same console (ala Mario Kart & others). Hence only, 4-stars.

Whether you love shooters or have avoided them for being too stressful, I think anyone can enjoy this game. It's a brilliant twist on the genre with crazy fun multiplayer and engaging single-player content.

This game is a must have for any Wii U owner or the perfect reason to buy one. Me and my kids enjoy playing together, alone or over the internet. It's gonna take a while before we get bored from this game.

This game exceeded my expectations! Its a lot of fun and the mechanics change the way you play with every different map or mode. Online matchmaking worked flawlessly for me and the matches run smoothly.

Not your traditional shooter but it's still very fun to play! Probably the most creative and original game to come out on the Wii U this year! If you're a Nintendo fan then this game is a must have!

My friend told me to get this game and I thought it was more of a little kid game, but once I started playing it I realized it really was a lot of fun! I recommend this game for peoples of all ages!!

At first I didn't think I was going to like this game. Oh boy was I wrong. This game is actually really fun. The only objective is to get as much of the level covered in ink, no pressure at all.

Great for all ages and everyone can get into the fun. Also can play online that's quick and easy. Great tps shooter thats fun to play. If you liked PvZ Garden Warfare you probably like this too.

this is nintendo's version of a first person shooter. In this game you only paint the map. You can run around with a paint roller or hide and paint uncovered areas of the map if you don't feel like trying to kill the opponents. The pro side is that no hand eye coordination is required so it is an excellent game for all ages. The focus is not on kills so there is more strategy involved. I don't mind the following negatives, but I know some ultra competitive types will. No party chat to coordinate efforts. No party matchmaking until an update in August. Weapons with back-up and special abilities come in specific sets. More weapons and maps are released weekly so not really a problem for me.

Not much I can say about this game that hasn't been said! Online multiplayer is grand, despite no voice chat, and the single player campaign will keep you busy. It's a beautiful piece of eye candy!

I bought this for my son, not only does he love it, but so does his big sister and his best friend's mom! This is his favorite game right now, which is saying a lot because he has a ton of games.

My son absolutely love this game. It He would play it for hours if I allowed it. The graphics and colors are great. I wish I could find the amiibos to go with it. My 11 year old is a happy camper.

Nintendo has made yet another great game! If you own a Wii U this is a must buy. It will provide you with the same experience as a Call of Duty game, but one you can play with your kids. This is the on-line shooter that you have been waiting to play with the family. Thanks Nintendo!

Splatoon is a great game. It is a very unique, fun spin on a stale shooter game market. Definitely recommend this game. Even if you don't play online, the campaign is a fun, hilarious good time.

Splatoon is a fantastic online "shooter" (the goal is to ink the arena rather than to kill other players). It's cute, upbeat, and easy for players of all skill levels to contribute meaningfully.

Splatoon is wonderfully addicting but it feels a little lacking in a few areas. First off, local co-op is pretty lousy as it is just a lot of "pop the most balloon within a few minutes to win!" which feels pretty weak to me. The Story mode is fun but relatively short but if you have the 3 Splatoon amiibo it offers a bit more replayability due to the challenges unlocked by the figures which makes the overall cost of the game currently at $94.98 to access everything. Rather expensive for on disc DLC. Lastly, while the game is lots of fun, it really feels like it wasn't finished yet. Nintendo has promised to continuously provide free DLC within the coming weeks and months but all of this content is just 1 or 2 new weapons/ arenas ever week or so, like they are still testing/ balancing them because the game was released too early. Great game but folks that wait it out a few months for potential sales and the rest of the free DLC would benefit more from their initial purchase.

I don't see how anyone can hate this game...well maybe the controls which sort of feels limited. Still great fun though and I'm kind of surprised it took so long for paint shooter to be made.

Splatoon is a fast paced, cartoon styled shooter. The action leans more to multiplayer rather than single player, but the lobbies fill quickly and the objectives are simple enough for all ages.

This game is awesome! So fun to play, greT graphics and my kids can't get enough. Worth every penny! We even purchased the Amiibo set to go with this title. A must have game if you own a WiiU.
