I picked this game up after hearing good reviews from across the web. Was impressed with the simple to use controls. Over all a fun and exciting game for kids and adults alike.

splatoon is a great new innovative ip for nintendo. Fun, Quirky paintball style of shooters. DLC is always coming out and free. Online community is great, only caveat is the single player mode is barren and short. This is a online based game like titanfall and such.

Finally a game that will dust off the WiiU. The speed at which you can re-enter another PvP round makes this a 5 star game. Occasionally there will be a delay before the next rounds starts but it is rare and usually it is very short wait before the next round starts. It's so short that no one throws a fit about losing to a much higher level player or if you are the much higher level with a team of lower level players you don;'t mind either. The game plays very smoothly with very little lag issues and has well though out maps. All of us from 7 to 40-ish enjoy sitting around taking turns at the controls and all 5 of us would recommend it.

The latest Nintendo IP is a fantastic fun for the family shooter experience. It may not have voice chat, but once its all underway you'll be too busy enjoying yourself to notice.

This is a great FPS style game for kids and beginners. It's super fun to play. There are guns that make it so even non gamers can pick it up easily. I highly recommend Splatoon.

This is a must have for Wii U owners. The matches only last a few minutes at a time so you're never bored. It has the excitement for shooters, but calm nature for kids as well.

Nintendo has the ability to create games with lasting charms even if they do not exactly fall into the category of modern. This game lacks a lot of convenient features of modern shooter games. Some issues would be you cannot choose maps, you cannot speak to your friends in game, you cannot guarantee you will be on the same team if you do play with your friends, you cannot change your weapon in game, you cannot change your weapon in lobby, you cannot leave a lobby once it is joined. These among other issues mar what could have been a perfect experience. However, despite these issues, splatoon manages to be entertaining throughout the duration of its single player campaign and multplayer battles. It is a silly and oddly fun game.

If you like to play paintball, you'll love this game. Choosing the proper player makes it fun and playing in a team makes playing even better. Very uniquely done game to enjoy

This game has been the first Wii U game since Mariokart 8 to keep me constantly playing the system. It's adorable, fun, and surprisingly tough at times. I highly recommend it!

Easily the most fun I've had with a game in years. The premise is simple and easy to understand, but the endless combinations of equipment and gear ensure it never gets stale. Not to mention the fact that new content is being added regularly; the game has only been out for a week or so, and in that time we've already received two new weapons, a new stage, and a new game mode, with the promise of much more to come. If nothing else, this game proves that Nintendo can and should get away from their classic titles and characters more often, because this is easily the most imaginative game for this generation of consoles thus far.

I wasn't expecting too much when I bought it but whoa. It actually turned out to be pretty fun with friends. If only they expanded on the local multiplayer. But still good!

I don't play many shooters, but I can't put this one down. It offers all the fun and strategy of other shooters but in a way only Nintendo could do. Plus kids can play too.

I am a Nintendo fanboy, and pick up most games they put out. My biased opinion aside, this game is a lot of fun! Something a little different for them, but not in a bad way!

Splatoon is fun for the entire family. The kids love it because they could compete against each other. Controls are easy to pick up making it fun for the adults to join.

Admittedly my Wii U mostly sits unused collecting dust. When I first saw this game I hesitated because most Wii U games are okay at best. However I'm extremely happy I decided to purchase it! It's fun, addictive and my poor Wii U is finally getting some use!

I'm not really big on multiplayer games. In fact, I generally stick to single player only. However, Splatoon is tons of fun and is easily accessible to anyone who would like to play. The music, graphics, and gameplay all come together to form a great package.

Saw this game on the WII web page and it peaked the interest in the kids and looked like a nice clean game for my young boys. Thank you please make more games like this.

This is an amazing game to pick up. I actually went out and bought a second Wii U to play this game with my 6 yr old son who is also a big fan. Well worth the investment.
