My 6 year old had a lot of fun with this game. The game was easy to play. He didn't like using the Amibo though.

Dress up your squid/kid with a large variety of head-ware, shirts and shoes. Yup, they even give stat bonus. Pick your painting weapon of choice, and jump into this 4v4 squad based arena game. More maps, weapons and game modes have been added since it launch, that is still feeling fresh. Must have game for al Wii U owners, even if you don't think 'shooter' games are you thing. You'll still have fun laying down paint with a brush or roller. So what are you waiting for?

This is a really great game for kids. All they have to do is cover the stage with paint to beat the other team.

The kids love this game and play for hours. It's a take on paintball and capturing as much of the map as possible.

Both my girls (ages 19 & 11) have been having a blast with this game. The fun hasn't worn off after about 3 weeks.

This is a great game for the whole family. Little kids will have so much fun shooting paint all around the course.

The kids fell so in love with Splatoon that it was hard to tear them away from the WiiU to go outside and enjoy the pool. Good gameplay, the only downside is it is only a 2-player game.

Nintendo is known to make awesome games,splatoon is no exception. It's definitely a fun game for any age, is unique and a fresh take on games where all you do is shoot your enemies.

Splatoon is really fun to play online and the single player story is creative and unique enough to play as well.

As a gamer who plays games of all genres, i am no stranger to shooters. This game, however, is no ordinary shooter. Splatoon is a very charming and strikingly unique team based shooter that will delight both kids and adults should you choose to purchase it. The Surprising depth and wealth of strategies that can be deployed in the arena combined with the great soundtrack and colorful designs create a beautifully. crafted and easily enjoyed experience. Great game.

Seriously, this game is awesome. Kids would probably like it, but I'm 28 and have no children, and I loved it, so kids are not important, since this is a great experience for adults. Unlike Call of Duty and other generic shooters, Splatoon's online community is very welcoming (though in part due to unfortunate lack of direct communication). This is a truly novel and truly great concept for a game that will hopefully have support from Nintendo for a while to come.
