This is a great game for any WiiU owner!

The learning curve is reasonable and you can become competitive within 3 or 4 matches if you take the time to learn. Every month, there is a "Splatfest" where you choose a side and then battle those who chose the opposing side. If you reach a certain rank within the Splatfest you will receive a special bonus you can use for upgrading items.

Integration with Amiibo is great very easy to get started and fun to level up your own personal character. Only issue with this game is that although there is a campaign online play is what really makes this game shine. If you don't use online or don't want your child using it many features of this game will go unused.
