The game is really fun, no doubt about it. But it gets stale with the same maps (which i hope they update soon) as well as no local multiplayer! What a drawback that i cant play with someone sitting next to me. Also the matchmaking is primitive. Can't join a party and play or even chat with people youre playing with. Hopefully Nintendo decides to update or patch this.

When you were a kid, did you and your friends ever have super soaker wars outside in the neighborhood? Running around in teams, spraying and pelting each other with water balloon bombs. That’s what Splatoon feels like, minus being able to turn into a squid.

I have been waiting for this since last years E3. The video game market is growing more stale and unoriginal every day, while this game is a breath of fresh air. There is no other game like it and if you own a wii u and not this game then what are you doing?

This is a great game, fast paced and very family friendly. Cover more of the floor with your teams color by the end of the round to win a match. The single player is also very fun with great level design and fun bosses. Another must buy game from nintendo.

This game is a fun Nintendo take on first-person shooter games. The art style is great, and the action is fast-paced, frenetic, and fun. If you like light-hearted games or want to find and FPS you can play with your children, this is definitely your game.

I thought the game was fun to play. Got a little bored with it after a couple of days. I think it would be more fun if you have people to play it with. I was not a fan of the moving the game pad to aim function, it can be turned off. Moving around and looking/aiming all felt really clunky to me.

This game is just a splat... er I mean a blast to play. Nintendo right now periodically adds new content at no additional charge. The online experience, for the most part, is smooth and fluid. I have to take away a star for the weak local multiplayer, but otherwise, this is a great game.

Game was gorgeous. Had some great concepts but fell flat for me. Multiplayer was engaging; but only for 2-4 matches at the map selections rotated every 6 hours. Only 4 maps each time which were split into different modes. 4/5 stars

It's Nintendo's first online shooting game and it's really original!

Great game! Online has been fun and reliable! I have not played the single player campaign yet. You do not have to use motion controls, as the dual analog works fantastic! You only need to do motion controls for the brief tutorial at first start up.

My two sons love this game. They like all the levels and upgrades. They really enjoy the online battles with friends and the accessories they can earn to purchase. Many features and a good descent game! The Amiibo technology makes it even more fun!

Very entertaining game for childrens who loves splat ink everywhere

I picked this up for my kids after weeks of begging for it! Glad I did. They've gotten hours of entertainment from it. Very kid friendly so no language and violence that's seen in most games nowadays. Nice to see them enjoying something together.
