The game is Nintendo's addictive spin on the shooter genre. It's charming and feels straight out of 90's Nickelodeon. I like that Nintendo is gradually releasing new elements to the game as free DLC, but keep in mind that close to the release date the game isn't entirely finished.

The kids love this game. The soundtrack can get a bit annoying after hearing the same music for hours non-stop. Addicting and the sales from this will surely stabilize Nintendo financially.

This game is awesome for kids wanting to learn how to play multiplayer games without all of the racist commentary and swearing by competitors. Simple, wholesome fun, and highly recommended.

This is a virtual paintball game where you try to cover up the field with your paint color and to hit your opponent. Once you have paint, you can become a squid to swim in your colored paint to travel faster and jump higher.

I bought this game for my kids; however, I have been playing it just as much, if not more than them. The progression system is rewarding and continues to urge you to play one more game.

I really enjoyed this game thoroughly! I definitely recommend this game if you are looking for a fun, unique experience, and for anyone who is looking for a nonviolent shooter type game.

graphics look like nintendo's competitor's last-gen systems. a little more polishing could have gone a long way. no online chat in matchmaking is not cool either... but when i get to playing this game online there is something unique about the experience that is very refreshing.

This game is a lot of fun. It's perfect for all ages. It's easy to play with a few game modes to choose from. The only con I can think of is the fact that you can only use the big wii controller to play, that means only one person at a time unless you have more than one console.

While the game started off its life a little bare bones, with all the free updates have put the squid meat back on... wait squids do not have bones.... squid meat back on the cartilage.

Forget the blood and guts of mainstream shooters. This game proves you don't need that to have a blast! Very colorful. Very addictive.

Bought this for my nine year old as a birthday gift. Had to drag him away from the console to eat, so it must be pretty good. When asked what he liked about it, he said, "Everything!"

This game is a lot of fun to play. It should be noted that it is only a 2 player game local. And you must have either a game pro controller or the "retro" style controller to have a second player. There is a single player campaign but the real fun is the online multiplayer!

Bought as a gift for my nephew, he loves it. I heard it was one of the hottest games this season and he actually was looking for it.

I like this game in that the objective is not to shoot and kill the other team so I can let my nephews play it and not feel guilty. Further, it's fun even from an adult perspective!

A very fun game with many elements of something like Team Fortress 2, but without the "violence," since you're spraying the battlefield with paint and not the enemy's blood. =)

No matter who you are, this game is fun!! Unique concept but incredibly competitive. I wish there was better multiplayer as you can only play 2 at a time. Still great, lots of fun.

Splatoon has been a game that the whole family enjoys. The multiplayer isn't as competitive as typical shooter games and the friendly animation makes it fun for people of all ages.

I LOVE Splatoon!! It's easy to learn, difficult to master, and ridiculously fun for gamers of every skill level. If you're thinking about buying it, I would highly recommend it!!

As my kids would say awesome this game is great my children love it and with online play it allows my children to play along with their cousins who live across state a must have.

My son (10) loves playing this with his on-line friends. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who is not connected to the internet because you would just be playing against nobody.
