I've been reading reviews for weeks, trying to decide on which phone to get, which carrier, ect. I went to the store specifically because it said online they didn't have it, I wanted to browse options. Impulse purchase, magic they had one, my mistake. I was at 98%battery life, had everything power save mode had to offer switched off. I added a dozen contacts, sent 7 texts over a period of a few hours, WHAM battery life went down to 47%. I'm returning it just because of that, very poor battery life. Had the Rep mentioned the battery life stunk, to put it nicely, they had a easy target to sell me a better and more expensive phone. I have bought all of my electronics from Best Buy in the past, however, I'm re-thinking my future with Best Buy over this. There are many phones to choose from, if battery life is important to you, I would look to a different model, or carry a charger everywhere. On the positive, the phone is a nice size, many features, easy to use even for my non-tech self.

Day I purchased phones I was supposed to get the promo codes for the two phones for one month free and help setting up phones which I did not receive. I was told I could set them up myself. I never did receive first month free and Xmas morning was on the phone for two hours with Indonesia setting up phones.

Got on black Friday .. paid 89.00 normal price is 199.00. Come to find out that the phone has great options to give Apple run for there money,,, but after looking into the phones digitizers seem to break and go bad very easy .. i would get protection plan for sure knowing it going to break some time or sooner .. long run this will be a costly phone to keep

I purchased my Samsung Galaxy S3 last October because I needed to have a phone that was of quality. My other phones that I had purchased were cheaper cause it was all i could afford. I decided to make an investment with this phone. At first it was a bit different for me because the slightest touch can phone someone or take a photo or create an email by itself. These are sensitive. I love that i have a great plan. I paid $199 plus tax for my Samsung last year and pay $30/month for the plan. The speakers on this phone are good too. The android version that i got on this phone last war was up to date

    Good phone, but not unlocked

As the summary states, if you plan on keeping this phone and want to change providers, you'll have to find one that doesn't require a sim card. This phone does not have a sim card slot, only a memory card slot under the shell. It is a step up from the S2, even with the 16 GB limitation, so more can be stored without going to the card, but the lack of an sim card slot is a minor disappointment.

Do not purchase this phone! Because it is so old, it can't handle all the updates. Phone calls are fine, but don't buy if you want to use Internet. I had to return it. Best buy was great about it!

You sent me a phone that was not able to be activated, and the phone was not even a sprint phone. So I will never purchase from Best Buy again.

This phone when bought from Sprint uses CDMA technology and you cannot use with other providers.. but good phone for the price offered. Also, you can unlock it in 3 months..

I've had several Virgin phones, also had the first Galaxy S with AT&T. DON'T bother with the cheap phones, splurge for a Galaxy or a unlocked. All the cheap phones run out of memory and a SD card does no good if the apps won't move. Had this for a month with FB, TWITTER AND PINTREST with no problems. Htc desire and Awe both sucked

I know it says 4G, but....

Make sure to check the coverage area on the sprint website. Apparently there is no 4G where I am located yet, other carriers such as: Verizon, and AT&T are present. I am in the outskirts of the 3G range, but if I travel 5 minutes in to town or 2 miles, I am full bars. In addition, my phone still highlights at "3G." Just check the coverage area. The phone is classified as a high end phone and I agree. It is fast and efficient.

Virgin Mobile Machine with Sprint nameplate

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

When I went to the Sprint store to activate this machine, I found out that it's really a Virgin Mobile machine that has a Sprint nameplate on it. That means that I couldn't use it for Kajeet (my original plan) since it's not an "original" Sprint machine. Sharing in case anyone else is buying for this purpose.
