Outdated cable and jack technology

One end of the charging cable is an old school USB. The other end is a USB mini. The year is currently 2022. I have not had a mini USB in a few years, and USB 1 is/should on the way out the door for a device like this. Each end should be a USB-C. Also, to enclose a card swiper that plugs into a headphone jack is laughable. New phones are not coming with a headphone jack anymore, hence, the reason I bought this reader in the first place, as my new phone has no headphone jack. Now I have 2 headphone jack card swipers and no use for them, other than I bought the separate USB-C to headphone jack accessory cable separately. The USB-C to headphone jack accessory cable should be included in this bundle. SMH.

I have a cell that does not allow for the swipe and I found that it also didn't allow a manual entrance of payment.

We do offer offline mode for sellers who have to take payments outside of a wifi network, but you can only accept swiped payments in that mode. If you have the magstripe reader you can always plug that into your phone and accept payments that way via offline mode, but we always recommend trying to use a personal hotspot or ensuring a wifi connection when taking payments. Stops responding after few months

Customer service is horrible. Square will freeze your account and lock you out of customer service and access without warning. They are holding my clients money for 90 days and refuse to speak to me. It's legal and in their contract. Stay away
