It is much better than the square card reader. It doesn’t require physical contact and compatible to iPhone and Android

The square reader makes it easy to take chip cards which helps protect me from credit card fraud, and also give me a cheaper rate on the transactions.

This little magic box does exactly what it says it does! Connecting was easy, and resetting the pairing to switch it to another device is NOT a headache like it would be with so many other bluetooth devices. It feels like a seamless hardware extension of the square app.

I run a small vendor table about twice a year. Square gives me a point of sale system which is easy to use as well as inventory tracking. The Square contactless and chip reader allows me to be more modern than many brick and mortar stores taking chip cards, tap to pay as well as traditional swipe. Square associates e-mail addresses with CC numbers so that once someone has entered their information for a receipt, they can always get an e-mail receipt without having to re-enter information. I sometimes have to wake it up and there's no battery level indicator, but I'm managing despite those things.

Didn’t know you could buy in store. Was glad there wer3 Square product options. Easy to use and set up. Recommend over the swipe thing for ease of use and liability protection when receiving credit cards for payments…in all forms, chip insert, tap for cards and cell phones.

If you are into the Square line of products as a business owner, you have to get this NOW if you don't have it. I am a banker by trade, and I cannot stress the importance of being able to accept the EMV/chip cards as a business owner. If you think it's just some gimmick by banks or acquirers and processors to charge you more per swipe, you're only partly correct. If you haven't migrated to the ability to accept EMV/chip cards, you are at risk for being liable for fraudulent purchases made with an EMV/chip card if you use EMV/chip ICC fallback methods of swiping the card instead of using the chip. Save yourself the risk of eating chargebacks due to fraudulent charges and put this in your store, yesterday! If you go the Square route of processing cards, be sure to get the dock to accompany this device. My only gripe is that Square didn't package this together the dock in the first place. Other than that, this device works flawlessly to accept EMV/chip cards and contactless payments.

I use this reader at craft shows and school conferences that I sell at. Compared to the reader that you insert into the jack on your phone, I much prefer this one because it's effortless - you simply insert a credit card into the slot (I can never seem to get the hang of sliding the card correctly) - and it seems to process faster too, so wait times are cut down and keeps customers happy. With that said though, I bought an additional one so that I can have 2 check-outs at the shows for when a line starts to build. I feel that having to spend a little more money on this reader is well worth it.

Works so quick and it’s so easy to set up! A lot faster than the ones you plug into the phones. This was definitely worth it to purchase!
