Very easy to set up!

It's a very well designed credit card processor plus for businesses on the go. I really like how straight forward it is to use. Even though the per transaction fee is high it's still better than all the nonsense charges that come with different credit cards and processing fees. Superior to anything out there right now for businesses that need a cc charging method on the road. It's definitely a high value, 21st century, business asset. Thanks Square!

Faster than earlier versions, but...

Works faster than the old combo dip/swipe reader which connected to the headphone jack. It comes with a separate swipe reader for headphone jack to be used for cards that do not have a chip. BUT occasional drops in communication between the reader and the phone can be frustrating. Also, the phone can go in to "Offline Mode" if you do not pay attention. None of my customers tried to use "tap-to-pay" so I cannot comment on that.

Quick and Easy POS Capture

Within 5 minutes, I had it completely configured. Didn’t get to use it as much as I had hoped the garage sale, but it provides everything it claims for quick and easy point-of-sale capture. I had my day’s sales deposited in my bank in two days, as promised by Square. Excellent technology at a more than fair price.
