Compact and easy to use and sync up. Falls short in the chip-less category. Some of my clients don’t have chips on their cards so I get charged the extra fee for not being able to swipe. A bummer, but not a dealbreaker.

Posted .Hi, Sarah! As a workaround for manually entering transactions (and thus avoiding the higher fee), you may want to look into getting a magstripe reader and just carrying it around with your Contactless and Chip Reader. That way, if a customer doesn't have a chip card, you can swipe the card.

The mag stripe reader was flimsy, difficult to keep it stable when swiping cards, had to retry swipes a number of times before it would work, and in some cases it never worked. A combined swipe and chip reader would be much better.....like the ones you get from banks.

This works great and the app that comes with it helps you keep track of inventory and email customer receipts.
