Very convenient. Works very well! And super easy to use.

I love square and moved to an iPhone no more headphone jack option so upgraded my card reader to this. It was so easy to set up to my phone it has a good battery life and works so easy as a chip reader I think it’s better than the swipe method.

The square chip reader is a great value, it works with the Square App, which is free. Simply purchasing the square reader and downloading the app allows anyone to accept credit card payments. There is a small percentage fee (about 2.5%) for each transaction, but all Credit card processors charge a similar fee. Square does not charge a recurring fee just to have the service, charge is only based on use.

This device works great. My wife had tried using the Square device that plugs into the headjack port but for some reason that never worked. This one has worked flawlessly.

It works much faster than the old swipe units. We used for 12 hours at outside festival with sufficient battery. Very pleased, recommend to anyone. Syncing to iPhone 8 and iPad was fast and simple.

This handy device works well on the go. We use it for farmers markets and pop ups. The only area of opportunity is connection, which may or may not be a device issue. It lost connection multiple times when we were in a busy location and had a rush of customers. But overall it worked well.

I am in the process of starting a new retail business and I was looking for a quick and simple system to sell retail and keep my sales and tax information in order. This system fills the bill. It is so easy and has such a short learning curve that anyone can use it, even a 72 year old senior like me who is totally non computer literate.

Very happy I made this purchase!! Was impressed that the Square contactless/chip reader came w/ a USB charging cord AND a magstripe reader included for $50. They still sent me a free/extra magstripe reader in the mail about a week later too. Started out w/ just the app for 3-4 days. After a couple rookie mistakes, quickly learned about the major security & $ saving advantages to using the contactless/chip reader. Been using it for 2 weeks now & my only regret is not buying it sooner. Figured I'd list a few PROS for anybody on the fence about making the initial investment setting up their business right today instead of waiting for the free magstripe • Transactions w/ my customers are completed much faster, easier, far more securely (for me & them) now. • No longer having to worry about loss of revenue or account being frozen due to fraud is a huge relief!! Magstripe & manual input won't cut it. ONLY the contactless/chip reader fully protects you from this. • Paying the reduced transaction fee vs swiping or manual entry methods means this thing pays for itself in no time . • PLUS, it has cut way down on the # of cards I have to physically handle anymore. Between avoiding the COVID cooties & flu season being right around the corner, I'm hoping this helps everyone stay a little safer/healthier. • This will become the standard pretty soon because it is by far the most secure method. Square takes security VERY seriously...And with good reason. So you're gonna have to get one eventually anyways. But it really is "worth every penny".

This is an awesome product. We had an estate sale for a family member and were told that CCs were a must. We have spotty cell coverage at the location, so I was a bit hesitant. However, this CC reader worked like a charm!! Processed over $15k in CC payments over a 3 day period and never had a blip. Used the strip reader maybe once or twice. Not sure this would be necessary. Great product!!
