So far I have not had some of the issues that others report. After charging I opened the app and followed the instructions. The first transactions worked fine. I will update after a month to see if a y issues pop up.

The only problem we had was if there was not a transaction for a couple of hours it would disconnect and so it took some time to reconnect when a customer came in and paid with a card after being idle.
