Lastly it wasn't working and I had to manually enter cards (which costs more to do) and with the Holiday Season upon us I needed an easier way to accept credit cards. With most cards having the chip I decided to get this chip reader. It paid for itself on the first sale I did. I have recommended it to others who have run sales I have attended since my purchasing it.

It can be used plugged in or charged via USB and it goes to sleep between sales which saves on batteries. Pretty simple once you create a sale for the first time. Very pleased!

We have an annual dinner meeting where we have an admission fee. People were always saying they would send a check later or we were messing with large amounts of cash at the door. We tried an online invitation company, but it was very confusing and the money didn't settle into our account until several days after the event. The Square made it so easy to just charge people as they entered... everyone carries a credit card! Setting up the receipt that was sent to them afterwards was easy & it looks professional! Best of all the money was in our account the next day!

For me, it seems like there is a learning curve with most electronics. BUT...this is so easy to use and I am beyond pleased. The Square charged quickly. The instructions are user friendly and easy to understand. I had no idea how simple this could be. And Best Buy sells a warranty for about $9.00 that covers the product if you have any issues or if you need to upgrade to a newly released version down the road. They even keep the information on your account so you don't have to find the warranty receipt.
