He decided new JBL speakers were what he wanted after talking to a sales person. Set an appointment for after Christmas for install. Son doesn't notice anything different. Was told by another employee yesterday that should have gotten and amp and subwoofer. So now, I have to spend another $300 for components and $200 for installation.... will NEVER use BB for installation again and now I don't know if I trust the sales people. Is this how you operate...? Don't tell people so they have to come back?

Ok installation

It was had to get the speaker change on my car

Terrible Service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went in with my son to have his speakers installed (that he received for Christmas) and from the moment we walked in all the 2 guys did was complain about the installation, how hard it may be and how long it will take - Before they even looked at the car. The one guy then came out and looked at the car and said it would be another $100 at least to install the speakers. I told him how I was not told that when I bought them and I had already paid for the speakers and installation. I paid for them ahead of time and the guy who sold them to me seemed very knowledgeable. He looked everything up to see what it would all entail and at no point did he say there would be an extra charge. I asked to speak to manager. The guy then said okay - let me get my brother. Well that went no where of course. So in the end I ended up just returning the speakers. These guys were very rude and at this point my son did not want them having anything to do with getting in his car to put speakers in.

VERY UNHAPPY WITH GEEK SQUAD INSTALLATION
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For: 2005 Ford Taurus.....OK...this all started when I had a problem with my JVC CD player displaying the message "Miswiring....reset....ect." Since I'd had my JVC CD player installed by Geek Squad...took my car back to them and was told I need an AMPLIFIER....I purchased this...had it installed...was then told I needed SPEAKERS...I kind of felt that they would need to be installed soon as I still had the factory speakers and 1 or 2 had stopped working. Took off work 1/2 day on Nov. 20, 2015....had NEW speakers (front and back) installed and they were working fine when I drove off. Got about 6 miles from Best Buy, started playing my USB and that "message" displayed. Called Geek Squad at the store...the guy told me "OH...that happened as well when I tried to play the USB" WTF...The USB was playing FINE..BEFORE...I had the speakers installed. AND...if that was the case....why didn't he TELL ME THAT BEFORE I LEFT THE STORE. AS the CD player is under warranty and if the USB port was the issue....the CD player should have been swapped out. NOW...I have to WAIT for about 2 more weeks to get this fixed...as I got this done in the area where I worked.....and I live almost 20 miles from there. THE ONLY resolution I could get was to bring my car back....WHEN THE GEEK SQUAD IS IN THE STORE...and they are not there on MONDAY AND TUESDAY.....well this is THANKSGIVING week and I'm off work Wed-Friday (Nov. 25-27)....AND...when I return on MONDAY, Nov. 30, 2015....they will be CLOSED.

Not so happy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The installer changed the size of my speaker when I arrived for the install as he said that the one that the associate had me buy for my vehicle would not fit. (Another car audio dealer said otherwise) then they broke clips off the panel that the window buttons are installed in so it wouldn't sit level in the arm rest anymore. (They did give me a link to purchase a new one and enough money to cover the cost but only after I had to return to the store to complain)

Bad installation.

Static Static and more Static- whether trying to listen to my i pod or the radio on the gift Sony player that was installed by you at the same time I tried connecting different different cables to my i pod. It didn't help. My i pod played perfectly on its own or when connected to a home device. I might add I have only tried to listen to the newly installed system twice since the insatallation- once in February and this past weekend. Now I have to try and get a human being to eventually answer the phone at Best Buy and then make an appointement to go down top Colma for the repairs because you closed the installation service in San Francisco. Instead of a five minute drive to a location near where I live and where there are things to do while they are doing the repairs I have to to Colma where there is nothing to do, nor any way to go home, while they are fixing the insrttation. Highly inconvenient. Boo! Hiss!

Do not get anything done to your car at Best Buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to replace the front and back speakers in my car along with an 8 inch subwoofer under the seat. Best Buy had my buy the wrong parts which I then had to run around and buy the correct parts on the day of installation. Do not get anything done to your car here involving your car audio. Just two days after getting the speakers installed they stopped playing music all together and don’t bother Calling any of the numbers listed on the Best Buy website because no one answers them ever. I finally got in touch with one of the installers at the location and he looked at my car and fixed the problem. Two weeks later the speakers cut out again, I went back to the installation dock where they fixed the problem and I though I was good to go. 3 weeks later the speakers have started to crackle and pop. I refuse to go back and have them touch anything on my car. The customer service has been awful and the installation job was abysmal. Do not have anything done to your car here

During our conversation about which speakers to buy and about the installation, they FAILED to tell me that this service is not available at the store closest to me. I purchased it on Thanksgiving day then attempted to redeem. That is when I discovered that this service isn't available. Therefore, I tried to get a refund. I have talked to 20 different people through chat and on the phone and NO ONE can help me get a refund. I shouldn't have to pay for a service that I cannot use! Best Buy has dropped the ball this Christmas!

Horrible powered antenna.

It was recommended to me by the audio installation specialist, who I had install it. This antenna made reception on my new stereo WORSE than without it. I have to wait apps 3 weeks for them to uninstall it. I would not recommend this product.
