Q: What's the difference between the standard speaker installation and the basic

A: The difference between the two would be basic install would be charged if we don't have to remove the entire door panel to get to the speakers and the grill surrounding the speakers comes off to access the speakers. Standard install would be charged if the door panel would have to be remove to get to the speakers. Component install would be charged for any component speaker installation where you have a separate woofer and tweeter and crossover to be installed. Best thing to do is call your local best buy autotech and get a price quote, I may vary between basic and standard install on what kind of vehicle you have.

Q: Will I be charged double for 4 speakers to be installed?

A: Yes you will be charged double for the two sets of speakers. Check if you can use the less expensive "simple installation", which costs less....

Q: Will I have to pay for the service 2 times if I am replacing the front door speakers and the rear deck speakers, totaling 4 speakers?

A: That was my understanding, that it was 64.99 for the front doors and another 64.99 for the back. I asked about that specifically too in the store because I was going to go ahead and do all four of mine if it was only the one charge of 64.99.

Q: If I bring a subwoofer and amp will you guys install it even if I didn’t buy it from you?

A: Yes they do. I just had my amp and sub and rear speakers installed.

Q: I bought 2, 12” subwoofers. I have all the wires and I have the amp. The only thing I’m missing is the output converter for my rca cables. Could I buy the output converter and could you guys install my new sound system. And how much would that cost me.

Q: I paid for my appointment for next week and he charged for the standard one but I think I only need the basic ?

A: Just tell the autotech your concerns and they will explain why or why not. If there needs to be a change in the install they will be more than happy to exchange the installs

Q: Do I need an appointment or can I just go in and buy speakers and have the installed same day ?

A: Best talk to the service techs at the store. Generally they are very busy but sometimes they have openings due to cancellations. In this case you can walk-in, buy the speakers, and have them install while you wait. But check first and don't assume it will work out as planned.
