This a great title for the Wii U. The one downside to this game is the fact that you need to look at two different screens while playing. The Wii U gamepad and your TV.

The controls take a bit of practice, but you get two fun games. A great update to an awesome franchise.

The controls have a huge learning curve. Once you get the hang of them, the game becomes a lot more fun. Co-op is a blast.

I remember playing Starfox a decade ago and it has been fun to see it updated. The controls on the WiiU gamepad a not as tight as I'd like or it would be 5 stars.

Enjoyable Remake of Starfox 64

I had a lot of hopes for the first Star Fox game in a generation. The packaging and bonus pack-in game are quite nice and you do get a lot for your money in terms of presentation. The game itself feels like an over-glorified remake of Star Fox 64, though. That's not to say that that is a bad thing, but the game is extremely short (ignoring completionists) and the motion controls make things unnecessarily aggravating. At the end of the day I walked away from the game with a positive experience, but I felt that there was a lot of missed potential with this one. Definitely pick it up on sale.

Star Fox Zero despite its motion controls, which aren't bad at all honestly, is a fun game. While there's barely any games for Wii U Id certainly recommend this.

A great game made average by bad controls. On the plus side, it works much better if 2 people are playing together.

This game is definitely a lot of fun and worth buying if you can get a good price (I got it for on sale 29$). Controls might take some to get used to but work good and it doesn't take too long to play through all the missions but you can always come back to find hidden extras and beat the highscore. Also includes is Star Fox Guard on a separate disc. If you like flying and 3D shooting I would really recommend this game!

The kids enjoy playing the game. It is very kid friendly but also a fun game for teen agers and adults. The controls take a while to learn how to utilize.

When I first saw that this game was coming out I was very excited because I grew up with Star Fox on the Nintendo 64. But, this updated version of basically the same story and plot fails to satisfy my expectations of a new star fox game. My biggest issue was the gameplay mechanics involving the motion control. This should have been an option of whether or not you wanted your playing experience to include it. Due to the motion controls this game can be very frustrating.

I would say over all it is a great game, but the controls and watching multiple screens can be a bit cumbersome at first. It does get better with practice.

I was excited for a new StarFox game - and initial videos of the game made it look like it was more of a return to the roots of the game that made it great (think Starfox 64). But this game is tarnished by the clunky control system and a weak co-op mode. The level design is still great - but its hard to get passed the controls for me. If they release a Starfox 64 HD with a co-op mode Id be all over that. This is a different creature than the Starfox I was hoping for.

This is a great Starfox game for those who have already enjoyed the series. However, it can be hard to get used to the controls, especially for a beginner.

This game has gotten a lot of criticism, but I think a good deal of it's undeserved. The controls are unusual, but I found them to be natural, and they definitely didn't get in the way of gameplay.
My biggest complaint is the length. It's pretty light on content. For some reason they decided to go with a story that could be played in one sitting, and that's not the direction I want to see games take.
I'd say it's worth it at a substantial discount. Haven't had a chance to play Guard yet, but I've heard decent things and a free game certainly doesn't hurt.

The game is great and looks great. There is a lot of nostalgia but the controls are a little weird. You are forced to use tv and controller screen to aim.

To be fair, I had some fun with this game. However, the gimmick of motion control and second screen could not be completely turned off. The WiiU would have been a nice system without the touch screen gamepad. This probably would have been an excellent game if traditional controls had been used. If you are a big Star Fox fan you will probably have some fun here and get something a little different. If not, you may find this to be a frustrating experience.
