The motion/gamepad use is typical of Nintendo forcing an unwelcome deviation from normal play control and the lack of online multiplayer is inexcusable. However, looking past those two major shortcomings there is a good game and the inclusion of the bonus 'Star Fox Guard' feels like a decent consolation prize. As usual, with Nintendo's cumbersome gimmick control schemes, playing around with it long enough you will get used to it and enjoy the rest.

The kids love this game. The Wii platform is such a family friendly and amazing platform. Add this game to the list of must haves for your Wii and your family. I'm already purchasing as many copies as I can to prepare for Christmas and all the younger relatives I have. You can't beat a sale price with the Gamer's Club Unlocked discount on top of it. It's worth spending money 6-months in advance!

This game is full of non stop action. Controls may make it a little awkward to play but with a little practice and time, it'll all be worth it.

Game has really good variety! Not a fan of having to complete an entire level before moving on. The game is good overall. Really good action!

The controls can make or break it, surprisingly so in some spots. but the visuals, music and gameplay can still make for a great experience.

The controllers for this game will give you a hard time. If you are a longtime star fox fan this is not the game that you been waiting for.

I found the game to entertaining and fun to play. It takes some time to get used to the controls which is why I only gave it a 4 star.

I loved Star Fox for the SNES and N64. So I was excited about the release of this game. The story mode and gameplay is basically a copy of the N64 version. Which is not a bad thing as it was a great story mode. It copies the good things that N64's story mode had very well, but some of the additional features don't quite live up to the older style. The only big negative I give is the lack of local multiplayer. N64's split screen multiplayer was the best part of the game. I hope the release a version of it as DLC in the future.

great graphics and love the franchise but this game is hard to control with the Wii U controller.

i played through the entire game, and i have started going through individual levels. it feels like a reboot of the starfox game on the n64, but the controls take some getting used to. you are forced to use the wii u controller screen to play the game, and it feels forced. i will continue to play it to see what else is in the game, but i can't help but feel that the year delay for the game did not improve the final product.

Hard to get used to the control at first, but once you master it, thr game is fun to play.

While this game isn't going to blow you away... it is still fun for the most part. I just can't go but feel that this game already feels about 10-15 years old. The controls aren't as bad as some make them out to be. However I still feel the motion controls are unnecessary. The free game included is also just OK. Personally I would've just preferred that they didn't include the bonus game and knocked $20 off the cost.

I bought this for my 7-year-old son to play. It was a little hard for him to master, but he seems quite pleased with it overall.

I would have to say that this game is great when played by two people. My daughter (5yo) and I have played about halfway through the game, and it has really taught her the meaning of teamwork. Plus, it is just a super fun game to play with nice graphics and high frame rate. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a same room, coop game experience.

I loved the re-make of the star fox zero for wii u. There was so many different versions of it for other systems, and I like that they made it more modern. This one also came with a free Star Fox Guard!

The game is very good but it takes some time to get a handle on the controls. After you get it though I'm sure you'll have fun.

First let me say that I am not against the Wii-U game pad, but for certain titles using the pro controller makes a lot more sense. This is one of those titles that would have greatly benefited from that minor change. All in all it is not a horrible game, but much of the frustration for me comes from the controls and having to use the game pad. I would avoid buying at retail price, and wait for a sale.

Its not the best game in the Wii U library but not as bad as everyone says it is. I gave it a shot and really enjoyed it.

Star Fox Zero is great. Even more fun with anyone. Well, it might not be for everyone but Star Fox fans will adore it.
