I remember falling off the bed fully immersed in the original Starfox and this one did the same thing (but off the couch). The gameplay is awesome and the use of the dual screens makes the experience so rich. For anyone else that is a child of the 80's and 90's this is a must purchase.

Loved my time with Zero! Avoid the negativity and enjoy a great entry in the star fox franchise! Packed with content, going to alternative planets, improving scores, you even get a complete different tower defense spin on the formula included in the box! Awesome package for the money!

Whether or not you enjoy this game is going to come down to whether you can grasp the gyro controls. As someone who has sunk a lot of hours into the similarly gyro-aimed Splatoon, I found them to be intuitive, responsive, and accurate (once I learned that the targeting reticle on the television view was misleading). Others have described the controls as having a frustratingly steep learning curve. The only criticism of the controls which I feel is unfair is the common description of them as "broken." Not only are they not broken, they're really the only thing that keeps me coming back to Zero, as the story and level design compares unfavorably to classic Star Fox games (especially 64, which remains the best of the series). It's clear that Zero was born out of a desire to experiment with the unique capabilities of the Wii U gamepad, and it does produce some clever ideas and interesting scenarios using the dual screen, gyro assisted setup. But its a divisive game, and your mileage will vary depending on your willingness to connect with the concept.

First off, let me say that I have been a solid Nintendo fan since 1989. I have always loved the company and their games and consoles. Fast forward to April 2016. I preordered Star Fox Zero without hesitation CONFIDENT that this would be another great title from Nintendo. I was wrong. The control is terrible. You have to hold the gamepad up and use that screen to aim at your enemies as you fire at them while at the same time trying to look at my TV to steer and fly the ship. This, for me anyway, does not work well at all. I also had to constantly keep recalibrating the aiming reticule (by pressing the Y button) as it kept getting off center. I only made it to the second mission where I kept dying over and over again until I finally just gave up and I have not tried the game since then 2 weeks later. Besides the frustrating controls, the graphics are very bland making the game look a lot like a dated Gamecube game. 15 years ago this game would have looked awesome, but this is 2016 and the Wii U is powerful enough to pump out some great graphics, not as great as PS4 mind you, but they still could have polished up the game to look and control a lot better. I totally and completely regret buying Star Fox Zero. If you are still interested in playing this game I would recommend renting it first.

I loved Starfox on the N64 and was ecstatic to get this game on my hands. The graphics and gameplay are definitely the highlights of the game while the controls may need some getting used to for first time players. Fun, exciting, and awesome gameplay make this game worth getting!

Overall I had an enjoyable time with this game. It looked great and payed great homage to the earlier titles in the franchise. The controls worked OK but camera angles can get weird at times, especially during boss battles. The stages were fun although there are a few annoying ones. Not great and not bad. Just good.

It's great that Nintendo brought back Star Fox, but this game is just average at best. Weird controls is preventing me from going back to playing it. This game focuses on motion controls and keeping track of two screens. It takes a while to get used to the controls. It leaves me frustrated. It comes with two games.

I bought this game really hoping for an updated version of Star Fox, only to get that bundle with weird controls. The control scheme, which is forced on the player, makes you take advantage of looking at both the wii u gamepad and the tv constantly and it just makes the game not very fun to play. It's unfortunate.

Nintendo did a great job bringing back all the features the starfoc fans will love. But they added a function of motion control using the main Wii controller that makes the game unreasonably difficult. You have to watch the tv and small screen simultaneously, and can make certain boss battles near impossible.

This is a remake of the N64 edition. It is an amazing blast from the past! If you enjoyed playing the first game you will certainly it have a great time with this one. At times the controls can be rather difficult. But using the Pro controller makes it so much better!
