This seems pretty solid. If you got used to Splatoons motion controls, you'll do ok with this.

This wouldn't be what you'd call a nintendo hit. This starfox game goes back to its roots with the on rails shooter but the single player is wanky when you're use to a controller and 2 joy sticks. Co Op this game can be a blast when you split the roles between aiming/shooting and flying. Not the greatest game, but its playable with a family.

My son enjoyed playing the game. He said only 1/2 of the available vehicles were fun using.

A pretty decent entry on the Wii U console. Brings back the nostalgia from Nintendo 64.

Two things make this game a disappointment: the controls and the "remake" of Star Fox 64 with some minor changes. The controls are the biggest problem with the game though and make it almost unplayable. Definitely can't recommend this as much as it pains me to say it.

Awesome game ! In single player you can use the pad and the tv to play for precision shooting while flying. You can also play co op where someone controls the ship and someone shoots. This is a super fun game when doing that. I had lots of fun with my daughter playing this one.

Controls issues....why did Nintendo do this?

If you take out the controls, it's a great Starfox game. I think it's more or less what we got with Starfox 64 with some more add ons, but Nintendo really has to realize that not everything needs to include heavy gamepad use. I suppose it may be fine if you had a second player you really trust, with one gunning and one flying, but it really feels weird swapping between the two. I mean if it adds to the game or integrates well without messing with the difficulty or pacing, like say Captain Toad, it's great, but I feel like I'm fighting the game mechanics than learning them and then using them. It takes a lot of the fun out of the flying sensation of the earlier games (perhaps except Starfox Command). I can only recommend this for people who are willing to take a LOT of time to learn a system, or die hard Starfox fans (who may be better served by replaying 64 more).
