This was a gift and my nephew absolutely loves it!

Budget RPG that was priced at full price. It is okay at best.

This game was my introduction into the Star ocean universe, but sadly, it wasn't the best. The game does not draw you in initially, but has a slow start.

This game was OK but after a few hours of playing I decided that it was not for me. The combat was not that fun and did not keep me engaged.

Not really sure this game lives up to the standards of a more open and easy to understand gameplay of the newer generation of games.

After reading IGN review and Gamespot and even youtube reviews, I decided to ignore the mediocre reviews and purchase the game. I am not disappointed and I must say it's a great game! The graphics are great and the story is interesting and the music is also great. Its a JRPG and no annoying Lyme like the previous version. Its actually better than the previous version and I likes SO4. Did I mention the battle system is Awesome! My advise don't listen to the online reviews and experience the game for yourselves. You won't regret it.

didnt care for prevous star ocean before this one but this being on ps4 and a jrpg i said why not. ive enjoyed my time with it have almost beaten story at around 20ish hours. combat is pretty fun i enjoy the characters and their interactions. one complaint is the amount of backtracking involved.

Fun game play and beautiful visuals!! Brings back good memory where you can have multiple parties in your party. Battle scenes is great with 7 characters all at once fighting together!!

More than a few hours in to the game, really like it so far. The role system is pretty cool, so are the specializations. The camera is a bit bouncy to me, gave me a headache after a few hours of play. Maybe just a sign I shouldn't play that long at a time.

I have always been a big fan of the star ocean series and this is a good 5th installment.

While the 4th game was a bit of a disappointment, this game is extremely fun.
