Beautiful remake. Though it is kinda jarring that the art style of the background doesn't really match the characters, and the mix of 2D and 3D is odd.

Fantastic remake of a perfect PlayStation one game.

The best game in the series. Old school action rpg combat and old school (but still great) rog story telling all fused with a beautiful and compelling graphic style.

Star Ocean the Second Story R is an enjoyable remaster of both the original version and the PSP version. The new backgrounds look great. The quality of life improvements have made for a more enjoyable gaming experience. It was certainly worth the purchase.

Remaster is very well done, and tons of QoL improvements in there. Sometimes when games get updated like this they remove exploits that can break the game; well, in this case they did the opposite and added a heaping helping of them. Lots of fun overall.

This game is so good from start to finish also there’s a rumor about the game not being on the cart it’s not true the game is all in the game cart so physical collectors can buy this one

Little pricey for a remake but if you have never played it before it is a lot of fun.

To be honest, the first time I played this game I fell asleep about an hour ago. Although I think that is more of myself than does the game. I’ve been told it’s very good, but I haven’t had time to get back into it since I bought it about a year ago. I will say that the story at the beginning isn’t exactly enough to grab my attention.

Great remake! Would recommend for any rpg fan. Ost remake was a plus as well.

I loved the original start ocean games, for some unknown reason developers are forgetting to make the games fun first before worrying about big graphics

I played the original back when i came out and this is such an amazing game! This version improves and just makes me feel like a little kid again playing it!
