With this Blu Ray you get the version which has the original special effects and the enhanced special effects. What this means is all of the exterior shots can either be viewed in the original format or in the enhanced format.

This is where it all began. Fun watching the beginning of the never ending voyage of the starship enterprise. James T Kirk and crew traveling the galaxy and taking us with them on their adventures. A must have for every Trekkie.

This would have gotten 5 stars had the packaging not been the worst I've ever seen. It is difficult to get the discs out and they are stacked on top of each other so I am always concerned that I might scratch them.
