Where it ALL began!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No point in discussing the movie. It's been around almost 40 years now and it is a cornerstone of American film making. FOX did a pretty superb job with the first 6 Star Wars movies in Steelbook. Each Steelbook is a glossy finish with debossed titles, 1-Disc, has commentaries as the only special feature, inside artwork, and the back cover shows the theatrical poster of the respective Star Wars movie. I already owned the "Complete Saga" box set, but these were too beautiful to pass up. I had to own them all. They also look real nice next to the new Episode VII: The Force Awakens! Get these while you can! :D

Amazing picture and sharp sound.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The classic film in a crisp, beautiful Blu-Ray format with the best sound to date. The steel box is very nice for collectors as well. I had to give it 4 stars as it's the updated version, and certain scenes are very distracting, especially the Tatooine additions. They look very out of place and too much CGI, and I wish they had the original , untouched version.

Great star wars movie beginning the force.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Star Wars: A New Hope blu ray in a steelbook! This started all the hoopla with lines backed up to see the movie and causing a big stir. Pretty amazing with the fact it almost never happened and if the studio axed it, there would never have been ANY sequels. Even the actors were puzzled about whether this would be a success. As far as the movie, blu ray has so improved the sound and clarity. Think back a few years how movies looked like on VHS! Luke (Mark Hamell) is the hero but this really propelled Harrison Ford's carreer. Bottom line: Great movie to watch over and over and over!
