Great series and will only get better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved BF1 2015 despite not having a campaign and paying for season pass which i normally never buy. Now with BF2 I was extremely excited to get free dlc with more maps and a new campaign added, More heroes and great class base system. I knew it had to be a catch when EA has anything to do with a AAA game. We all know by now the dreaded microtransactions (MT) had to replace the free dlc. I don’t mind MT as long as it doesn’t effect gameplay. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case with BF2 even in the beta I played. Thankfully the MT were temporarily removed after a mob of angry gamers brought attention to EA firewalling heroes and making you feel like you need to pay for random non guaranteed items you get from loot crates. Hopefully EA is wise and when they return the loot crates its straightly cosmetics and make progression rewarded with more points for skilled players. I would be shocked if MT wasn’t completely removed from progression to make the game fun and rewarding. I haven’t played the campaign yet nor final build but I am sure the game will be great just like the beta. I did see bugs in the beta and heard bugs in final build. I know DICE will fix those issues. It’s too much at stake. I am sure the campaign is good not great. But BF old games never had a great campaign either. The MP is where all the greatness ly in BF2. Arcade mode is also another mode more beefy than BF2 2015. BF2 will be great game for a long time with a steady stream of great heroes, maps, modes and added story content. I just hope to get a black lifesaber wielding hero such as mace windu added to the free dlc. Dice, Make it happen.

Amazing sequel
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dislike the progression system and loot boxes. But the game mechanics are great as are the graphics. The story starts out interesting then takes a turn towards the cliche. Overall I dig it.

It's decent thus far.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played the battlefront that came out about two years ago a lot and still have fun playing. As of his review I don't have an internet connection so I can't give a full concise review though the inter webs are laden with hate on the progression system that I hope they fix. The single player story mode is fun but short. All around it's a good enough game to escape to the galaxy far far away but I'll have to wait until I go online to reall get the gist of it.

Better than the last game ruined by Ea Microtrans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The core gameplay of this game is honestly very good. DICE honestly did a great job with the gameplay, the environments, everything. If the game's progression system wasn't completely garbage, I'd give this game a 9 or 10. I still bought this game despite the controversy because I am a huge star wars fan, but now I see the problem. The progression system was built to entice you/your children to spend money on loot boxes. It is aggravatingly slow to accomplish the challenges in the game so that you get annoyed and keep making purchases of a couple bucks. There are serious competitive advantages for spending money - which means this game has zero competitive integrity. Right now microtransactions have been turned off temporarily, but since the progression system was built around microtransactions, the entire thing is broken. To summarize, great game design and gameplay, but terrible execution by EA's execs on progression. Ruined an otherwise fantastic game

Awesome game for any Star Wars fan.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is amazing for any true Star Wars fan! If you loved Battlefront then you’ll definitely love battlefront 2 with all the additions of new heroes, new maps, and a brand new campaign mode. The progression system in the game is definitely flawed at the moment as it’s difficult to purchase/upgrade heroes/star cards etc. but that’s only a minor issue as it doesn’t ruin the Star Wars gaming experience. I’m sure EA is working to fix this ASAP. Would recommend to all!

A great game marred by a bad progression system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game has its problems, mostly with the progression system. The campaign could stand to be a bit better as well. However, I'm having so much fun with the multiplayer that I'm not really paying attention to the progression as of now. I understand that can be a deal breaker for many, but there is a very good game under all of that.

Not perfect but fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game look greats, plays well and I’ve spent more time on this game then I have on any game in awhile. There are some aspects that need fixing. AFK players make playing hero’s vs villains almost unbearable. There are some minor lag issues and the progression was a grind. But overall I would recommend this game.

Solid Star Wars Game crippled by microtransactions
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is truly a great star wars game with a fan-fare CANON campaign that lays out some very tantalizing breadcrumbs between episode 6 and 7. Sadly, as the entire internet knows by now, the game is heavily crippled by its progression system which is broken and was clearly intended for pay to win.

Great game but flawed progression system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is a lot of fun to play online and solo, but the progression system is tied to loot boxes. They reduced the time it takes to earn credits and made it easier to buy characters and more loot boxes. They also temporarily disabled micro transactions

fun game despite the controversy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite the problems that have been talked about at nauseam (which I'm not going to recap here), the game itself is quite fun and, like Battlefront 2015, one of my favorite games to play. The campaign has original content and although short and choppy, is enjoyable. The progression system leaves much to be desired and after a while there is not much left to attain, but you can still have a good time with multiplayer matches. Hopefully they take the negative feedback seriously and address the issues raised, otherwise I'm concerned about the game's longevity.

Great game marred by frustrating progression
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy playing this game. I think they took everything that was great about the predecessor at enhanced it in someway. The only problem is it the progression is frustratingly slow and completely random. Instead of being tied to performance or the specific types of characters do you use, your characters only improve when you get the right card from their loot crates. Luke rates aren’t easy to burn thanks to very stingy payouts after game matches. There is a lot of commentary on this issue online, so I won’t go into it in detail here. Suffice to say as a Star Wars fan, I’m still very pleased with the inclusion of a very interesting solo campaign story mode and the feeling of presence in the Star Wars universe. If they can fix the progression through future updates, I would easily want this to five stars.

it looks good at least
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.that's one thing for sure you could say that the visuals are the best part of this game, the new heroes are cool, it's awesome to play as the prequel characters. the campaign is average nothing special there, less game modes than the original hopefully they'll add more later. a lot of lag during a 40 player game gets better with less people. the arcade can be played co-op but not with a friend online unless you use the share play feature. the progression system is a mess. this game right now is only worth picking up at a third of its price in my opinion. I'd still recommend it if your a star wars fan just know what your getting into.

Progression is bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gameplay is fun. Looks and sounds like Star Wars but progression is killed by the convoluted star card system and loot boxes

Fun but very flawed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The "Star Wars"ness of this game is pretty good. The moment to moment gameplay is really fun. But the progression system is quite bad. Even after EA turned off microtransactions and lowered the price of heroes, locking progression behind random card drops can be infuriating. Especially since there are so many emotes and poses you can unlock, which take away from the chance of getting cards.

Save Your Money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great graphics, fun combat, bad progression. Not enough weapons and weapon addons to work toward. Because of this, the weapons and mods that are available take far to long to unlock. Star Cards are even worse. Forced carrot on a stick isn’t ideal. I have actually went back to playing CoD WW2 after less than a week. A utter shame as I have an entire room devoted to Star Wars in my home.

Not for everyone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a big star wars fan so I'm probably going to buy any star wars game that gets released. That said, this game is just mediocre. Weapon balance is horrible, the class system is boring and progression is unfulfilling. The addition of a single player campaign was the only thing they got right. But even that is repetitious. Only buy it if you are a SW fan.

Good gameplay, lootboxes hurt the game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The gameplay feels smooth and solid, an improvement over the first orb the series. Campaign is a nice addition but nothing to write home about. The addition of lootboxes essential to progression hurt the game in a massive way, even more so if they become purchasable with real dollars.

Great Game; Nervous about Future
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As has been publicly been demonstrated, EA is playing a dangerous game by toying with the microtransactions.
