Nice movie. I know some people were not happy that it seemed like they were rehashing the original Star Wars (IV). But it is a tried and true formula (in which many movies and stories are told). Where the young idealistic person goes out into the world and ends up finding out they can do great things (with some guidance etc)... I think the "handing off" to the new generation was well done. I'm sure some of the original cast will be in some of the future movies but it gives us a chance to get to know new people and care for them and their story.

I think that "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" was one of the greatest "Star Wars" films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite "Star Wars" films of all-time. I also think that this was an exciting film with a creative storyline that establishes new events within the "Star Wars" universe that also had a lot of action, mystery, suspense and drama including a really great and amazing cast and personal storylines as well.

In addition to the Steelbook Best Buy Exclusive copy of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, I have also seen the Walmart BB8 exclusive copy and purchased the Target exclusive. When comparing the three, this is hands down the best value. The Target exclusive has flimsy packaging, although it is cool looking it is easy to rip and tear. The Walmart exclusive is forgettable. This is a great addition to the Star Wars Steelbook collection. I now own all 7 Star Wars Steelbooks and they look amazing in my collection. I would highly recommend this exclusive.

While George Lucas may have given the world the gift of Star Wars, his "remastering" of the original trilogy and Episodes I-III lost some of the franchise's luster. Episode VII goes a long way in earning it back, as the wooden, overly-dramatic dialogue of the prequels are replaced with the crisp, witty banter that added so much to the original films. Director JJ Abrams also succeeds in an area where Lucas struggled: using stunning visual effects for the sake of the story rather than the sake of simply having visual effects.

The slipcase for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has a pretty sturdy rubberized outer edge that surrounds the lenticular picture on the front. The inner sleeve is your standard flimsy digipack containing 3 blu-rays and one standard DVD. The nice thing about this blu ray in addition to having it in 3D, is that all of the previous extras are included along with extra new features just for this edition. The only thing that could have made this edition better is if they had included a Dolby Atmos audio, other than that, it's a winner.

This was a great movie to bring the magic of Star Wars back after the disappointment of Episodes I - III. Yes it hits on many of the same notes as Episode IV but that makes it a warm welcome back to a galaxy far, far away. Introduces some fun and likable new characters and leaves a few questions waiting for answers. As someone who grew up wearing out the VHS tapes of Episodes IV - VI instead of watching cartoons I wholly recommend this movie to fans of the Star Wars saga and fans of sci-fi action movies alike.

I have been a huge Star Wars fan since the first movie came out. I was concerned that this one would disappoint due to introducing a mostly new cast and the difficulty making a new one interesting. My concern was unnecessary. The movie has the same impact as the original did so many years ago. There are some similar plot lines to the original, but the application is new and different. Advances in special effects make this a great movie for that reason alone. When you add the character development and plot twists, you have a 5 star winner.

J.J. Abrahams toke what George Lucas did back in the 70's with the original Stars Wars and brought back a great classic. It was great to see the old cast back...yet it could have been even better I think. If any Stars Wars fan read any of the books produce after Jedi...Han and Leia had 3 kids Anakin, Jacen, and Jania Solo. They are names if anyone knows the books. Stars Wars The Essentail Guide to the Characters book would give you the back ground on those characters. Otherwise Disney and J.J. Abrahams did the "Force Awakens" fantastic.

If you haven't seen this movie already, you're probably not a movie fan. Which is... okay (but let's be honest, it isn't okay). But, consider this: Following the saga of a two warring factions (in which one side is evil and hopes to rule the galaxy and the other is noble and heroic, whose only hope is a guy who made out with his sister), we revisit a storytelling universe long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away filled with lightsabers, Wookies, and an older and ornerier Harrison Ford. If that doesn't hook you, I don't know what will.

We love every single one of the Star War movies, and that includes this one!

Clearly a love-letter to the original set of films (and I do mean the ORIGINAL set of films), while forging boldly into new territory, "The Force Awakens" delivered on every level I expected. While still not a perfect film, it comes wonderfully close. Satisfying in every way, with a well-rounded cast of new characters (including a strong female protagonist and a sympathetic-yet-despicable villain) and many familiar faces, plus another brilliant John Williams score, "The Force Awakens" is spectacular fun for Star Wars fans new and old.

Great Movie as always if your a starwars fan your going to in joy the movie.

It worked as a gift. So from that standpoint, I’m very satisfied with it’s quality.

The magic! The mystique! The marvel! Well, almost. The first film in the new "Sequel Trilogy" brings back memories of old and undoes the sour taste left behind by the poorly-acted and drawn-out Prequels. It harkens back -- some times too much so -- to the adventure and fun that started in 1977 while still seeming modern and up-to-date for today's audiences. The acting is solid, the FX are brilliant and the latest story twist will surprise viewers -- for the few who still haven't seen this movie. And 3D makes it all the better!

Everyone has their own opinion on where the Star Wars films should be ranked. This particular film is "Episode 7" in the saga and was directed by J.J. Abrams. Personally I enjoyed this film more than Episodes 1-3 in the series, though I enjoyed the classic films and Rogue One more. This film comes in a nice collector's edition steel book. The first time I bought this, it had a digital copy too. I bought it again from Best Buy since I lent my original copy to a friend, and am not sure if I'll get it back.

Definitely satisfied by my purchase. The 4k quality is great.

I am probably the only person on the planet that never saw the Original Star wars movies. I always liked Star Trek instead. Well I got this Blue Ray movie to see what the fuss is about. Boy am I glad I did... This movie was very entertaining and packed with fun and a great story. I ended up buying the original trilogy because of this movie and I really enjoyed every movie. I recommend this highly to anyone out there who hasn't seen a Star Wars movie... But maybe you should get the original trilogy too... You won't regret it.

With Disney taking over this franchise I see great things happening and some completely terrific Star Wars movies! They've gotten off to a great start. The Force Awakens is a fantastic movie where we are introduced to many new dynamic characters. The story possibilities are endless and my sci-fi addicted brain is craving the future Star Wars stories and spin offs that will be told. The imagery is fantastic. The new characters are fun to learn and watch and the ending leaves us die hard Star Wars fans wanting more!

I had to add this to the collection of Starwars movies I had! As a movie guy; and a Starwars fan; the amount of extras is astounding. Not only are there tons of extras, its a steel book casing. Steel book=Awesomeness! Could be a great christmas present if someone you know doesn't already have it. Or a perfect gift for yourself to enjoy, and relax with some popcorn. Relive the starwars characters from your childhood.
