Great movie and return to form. So glad that JJ and his crew remained faithful to the franchise and made a movie the fans would truly enjoy. Yes there were moments that were weak at times by the new cast but overall it was awesome to see familiar faces, ships and themes. I'm finally looking forward to a sequel. Thanks for staying out of the way George. You brought us to an amazing galaxy, but now it's time for a new pilot.

I own a lot of movies, both DVD and Blu-Ray. The Best Buy SteelBook versions are my favorites, hands down. The steel box is not only a great way to keep your Blu-Ray disc protected from life's little accidents, it also boasts some of the best artwork you'll find for the film inside. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is no exception. If you love movies, you owe it to yourself to get the SteelBook version of this instant classic!

I remember seeing the original Star Wars when it first came out and how much of an event of a life time it was. The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi built upon that and added to it. Then, after waiting years, only to be disappointed by the prequals. Well, the magic is finally back! This movie not only lived up to my expectations, but exceeded them. The film is well scripted, well acted and also a ton of fun!

This was a fun movie to watch. I saw it in the theater in RPX and I must say the Blu Ray is nice. Added features and info on the film were also nice. If you are a Star Wars fan and have not seen The Force Awakens, I would say buy it and watch it. It has a feel of The Empire Strikes Back in the way a few questions are answered and many more are not. Looking forward to the next one. Enjoy and May The Force Be With You... :)

Well, I wasn't disappointed. Actually, it would be very difficult for me to give a Star Wars movie a bad review, despite questionable CGI characters in the past and somewhat less than engaging dialog. But thankfully, this movie didn't suffer from either one of those for me. Disney paid a pretty penny for the rights and I don't think they would squander that money on a poorly concocted plot. Can't wait for the next ones...

The movie is great. Best Buy has started to charge a premium for Disney Steelbooks. The same blu-ray in the normal packaging is $19.99 on release date but they charged $8 more for the steelbook with NO EXTRA bonus content. Luckily I got a rep to price match to the regular edition. They have been doing this for last 2 Disney Marvel movies.

Need to see how the new characters develop before you can call this an equal to the original 3 and their prequels. Rey was very good and I look forward to her in future episodes. Finn reminds one of a young and rebellious Han Solo. HMMM! Interesting similarities are there in character development which I'm sure was by design. Killed Han off. BUMMER. Want what Mark Hammil was paid for his role. WOW!!! Come on episode 8!!!!

We saw this movie when it came out the first weekend on Imax - 3D, because I knew that this movie deserves the extra screening visuals. My entire family could not stop talking about the movie, and I just had to buy the blu-ray. The visual effects were literally out of this world and the music score enhanced the experience to new epic heights. No wonder it raked all the money at the box office! Can't wait for Episode 8...

Amazing! Obviously fans will always compare the newer episodes to the original trilogy, and some will love the newer ones and some will hate them. But I have to say, even though this episode (directed by JJ Abram) does have a different feel to it than the originals directed by Lucas, it is still an awesome edition to the Star Wars family of movies. Personally, I thought The Force Awakens was an Amazing movie.

As the first Star Wars film I've ever watched in 3D, this was a special treat! Gorgeous video and audio along with an impressive amount of special features; my only gripe being that like many other Disney releases, it lacks a trailer gallery. The digipak packaging is really well-crafted, too; though I would be much happier had they designed all this within a SteelBook. Overall, a highly recommended release.

I bought this blu-ray because I'm a big fan of the steelbook cases (and Star Wars in general). I like the design and they look very nice on the shelf. I try and get the steelbook case whenever I can. I know they are a little more expensive than the regular Blu-rays but personally think it's worth it for the nicer packaging. I also like that they come with the digital copy so I can watch the movies while traveling.

I love this movie even if it is a better acted more aesthetically pleasing version of a New Hope IMO. The packaging is very cool and compared to other 3D Blurays you are getting a lot for the price. I will say this should of been released when the other versions were released but, it's cool now to have the 3D version as well as the handful of new features including a very much appreciated director's commentary. The non 3D film is one of the best looking Blurays out there as well. I would say if you don't own the original release to go with this for the extras and if you own a 3D TV this is a must. If you don't own a 3D tv and the original release of this film I would skip this unless you really want that director's commentary.

I bought the steel book version because at the time it was only $4.00 more than the regular version. I'm a fan of steel books, they keep the movie safer during transportation (i.e. moving or lending to a friend.) If you are a fan of the original Star Wars movies (IV, V & VI) you will enjoy this movie. It follows the basic plot line of IV: A New Hope with new characters and new situations, but it flows the same.

If you enjoy Star Wars you'll enjoy the latest chapter of the franchise. This movie picks up years after episode VI, with everyone trying to find the last Jedi, Luke Skywalker. Can't say much more because don't want to spoil it. Plenty of action and a can't believe it moment as well. Can't say that I like one particular subplot of the movie but that's me. I'm positive that you'll enjoy it if you are a Star Wars Fan.

The original Star Wars trilogy have been my all time favorite movies my entire life. I enjoyed the prequels, but they didn't live up to the original trilogy. Now that Disney bought the rights the future of the franchise weighed on this movie and it delivered! People like to nit pick but this movie is the movie we've wanted and needed. It has revitalized Star Wars! The blu ray looks amazing too! I highly recommend!

This is a great movie by a great company The characters work well together and it brings back so many memories. When the first Star Wars came out I was a manager in a movie theater and I got to watch it anytime I want and as many times as I wanted. I couldn't have had a better job. Before seeing this episode I went back and watched the first 6, of course I started with the first episode and went on to the others.

This movie did a fantastic job of combining old and new. The returning characters played a central role and helped with the introduction of the new characters in the series. The action was nostalgic of the original Star Wars trilogy, which I found to be wonderful. The combination of all the elements takes the moviegoer on a wonderful roller coaster ride that is recommended for both new and returning Star Wars fans.

I bought this 3D film on sale at big savings despite already owning the blu-ray/digital version. The 3D effects are identical to the theatre experience. The movie is the beginning of the final trilogy in the Star Wars canon, and it introduces the new characters that will carry the tale to its end, and many old, familiar characters return. Carrie Fisher's Prince Leia is older, wiser, with a hint of melancholia that is explained by film's end; there's Han Solo who's returned to freebooting throughout the galaxy with his ace pal Chewbacca. The droids r2D2 and C3po are of course still about and central to the story, and the reborn Sith menace drives the story towards the discovery of the lone Jedi Master to balance.

Mostly because every single one of you have seen this film. Of course, Star Wars 7 was extremely well done. It followed a proven formula, and it worked. Just because it doesn't sixth sense surprise you, doesn't mean it isn't good. Sometimes just telling a fantastic story, with well written and timed dialog, and impressive fight/chase sequences is quite enough. This may be the most enjoyable film of the series...

I purchased the 3D bluray Force Awakens set specfically for the 3D edition. Though not as impressive as Avatar or some of the other animiated 3D features, the added effects are definitely worth the added $5 or $10. It's Star Wars, what else would I want to blast in surround sound 3D in my home theater? Here's hopping they continue to release the 3D version of the next eddition as well!
