This is the best one since 1983's Return of The Jedi. The force is strong with The Force Awakens. Spoiler alert!!! The only bad thing about the movie is Harrison Ford's Han Solo character is killed by his son. Who is the new villain and grandson of Darth Vader! I did mention spoiler alert! I could not wait as I bought this the day it was released on Blu-Ray even though I saw it twice in the theater!

Star Wars The Force Awakens was a good movie and definitely was better than all three prequels. While I am a huge Star Wars fan and I did enjoy the movie, it felt different than other Star Wars movies despite bringing back some nostalgia with characters from the classic trilogy. Regardless, this movie is definitely worth adding to your Star Wars collection and the steel book cover not only provides a durable case for the Blu Ray disc, but is also pretty amazing to collect as well. In fact I have all six other Star Wars movies on Blu Ray in their steel book versions as well. Definitely recommend getting for any Star Wars fans you haven't gotten the movie, but if you are a Star Wars fan you likely already have it.

This movie was awesome. It is a movie you watch over and over again. My nephew thought it was great and now he is watching all the previous versions to find out what the story is all about. Great Movie and the quality of transfer is perfect. The one problem I had was the cover. Very Boring. This is a movie you will watch over and over again so better to buy at best buy then rent from other sources.

What kind of review do I need to make, if you know Star Wars then you've seen the movie and buying the Blue-Ray is a no brainer. Best Buy had this for a great price and if came in all three pertinent platforms, BR, DVD, and Digital HD copy form. If you've never seen a Star Wars film then you and Matt Laur should form a support group and buy ALL of the movies including this one and get to watching!!

Overall I think this is the best movie of the franchise. Past movies would bounce around between different stories to control the flow; or there would be excessive periods of dialog then drawn out fight scenes. This gives you small amounts of each, back and forth in a nice rhythm. My only gripe is that there's not a 4k format, but that is not Best Buy's fault so it still gets 5 stars

I LOVE this movie. I saw it in theaters 4 times (including once at 5 am) and adored every minute of it every single time. Some will say that it is too similar to A New Hope, but I don't see a problem with that. The plot and storyline are definitely heavily influenced by Episode IV, but the characters and theme of the movie are decidedly original. Poe, Rey, and Finn are characters that I fell in love with the second I saw them on screen and I can't wait to see how they evolve, change, and grow over the next few movies. The only reason this didn't get a 5 star rating is because the special features leave a lot to be desired. The deleted scenes were kind of boring and I was disappointed in the lack of a gag reel.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is an excellent new chapter i the Star Wars saga. The story is great, showing the latest Jedi candidate developing, and defeating the Dark Side, and tying into the past and implyin g the future. The 3D effects were just perfect: not overblown just for the sake of 3D, but integral with and enhancing the storyline, and giving depth to the visual effects.

Loved this a heck of a lot better than Episodes 1 -3. The characters had more depth, better humor and showed emotion and it was reminiscent of Episodes 4 - 6. My only criticism is that the plot which could have been a bit more original. It was kinda like they took the best plot points of 4 - 6, changed them up a bit and sent it out as this new film. Still a great ride. The 3D is awesome!

so I pre- ordered this movie as soon as it was offered. After seeing it at the theater in December with my son and daughter in law, who had grown up watching Star Wars, I was anxious to get my own copy. I really liked the direction this movie went after Disney bought the rights. It really keeps you on the edge of your seat. I enjoyed seeing the original stars also which helped tie it all together.

Blu-Ray, DVD & Digital Copy is the best. I downloaded the digital copy into my iTunes which lets me watch it wherever I want and then also I get the DVD and Blu-ray copies to watch if the internet ever goes out. The movie itself has an hour long extra documentary with some interesting stories from behind the scenes as well as bonus material. Its a great purchase if you are a Star Wars fan.

I only wish it came on a 3D version. I was really impressed with the IMAX 3D experience and thought this movie was ideal for a home theater 3D experience. if the 3D version is ever release, count on another sale. The movie played well, the sound was superb. The lows vibrating through my subwoofer was impressive. The color, the detail and CGI were flawless. Having the bonus features was a "BONUS".

I am a huge fan of the the original movies (that would be 4-5-6 now) but I realized the moment Disney bought the franchise, that they were going to get crammed down our throats whether we wanted it or not. At least this seems like it is headed in the right direction more than the Jar Jar disasters. I actually enjoyed it, hoping the next has a bit more Luke Skywalker. RIP Carrie Fisher

Growing up as a kid watching episodes 4-6, I absolutely fell in love with Star Wars. Later came episodes 1-3, and they were pretty good. I first saw the Force awakens at the theater. My original rating was a 7. We ended up buying the movie on blu-ray and for some reason I enjoyed it more watching at home. My rating went up to a 9 as the movie grew on me a little more. A couple of new characters are introduced such as Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren, yet actors from my favorite episodes make appearances. I was not as impressed with the special effects as in other episodes, but I would still recommend this movie. As a suggestion, you may want to watch episodes 4-7 to familiarize yourself with the characters.

Great movie, but what is totally impressive is the all inclusive Special Features Included with the film. From the first table read to the final edit, you get to witness the hard work of everyone involved in the finished product. And to see the respect that everyone paid to the original material makes the finished product seem more a labor of love than just a quick money grab was refreshing.

To those who already have the 2D release and are lovers of everything Star Wars, this release offers a decent amount of new special features that are well worth owning and double-dipping for. And to those who have a 3D entertainment system, this release is a must-own. The 3D for this film looks pretty incredible and the depth of the objects on the screen is quite surprising.

I very much enjoyed this movie! I am a big Star Wars fan, having seen all of the others multiple times. Yes, there are times this movie is a little slow, but they had a lot to get in to set up the story line for the next two movies. What a kick to see some of the characters from the three original movies! Can't wait for the next one. The picture quality of this blue ray is fantastic!

Do I need to go into detail with this review? Blue-Ray, Ultraviolet, DVD combo pack in a steel box. Newest installment of Star Wars. Incredible special effects, Chewbacca, Luke, Hahn and Leia reunited. A new set of young actors and actresses creating memories of intergalactic wars for my kids and their generation. How is this movie not standard issue for all American households? Should be.

I've been a fan of the movies since they came out and now I am enjoying these movies with my son. The lead actress that plays the character Rey steals every scene she's in. The other new characters are enjoyable as well. Lot's of 'feels' seeing the original cast in action once again. It's not a perfect Star Wars movie, but there's plenty there to get the fans excited about what's to come.

The latest installment in the saga does not disappoint. Whether you're a newcomer or long-time fan of the Star Wars films, I'd highly recommend picking this movie up. As a fan from the beginning, I can't say it's my favorite installment, but certainly worthy of the Star Wars title. Plenty of action, amazing special effects, and certain returning favorites made this film a great experience.

I think steelbooks are just the coolest thing ever, next to STAR WARS that is. So naturally I had to pre-order a copy. The main feature disc was loose in the packaging when I opened it but the disc was not damaged and the tabs for holding it in place were not broken so I think everything is going to be okay. I do wish the art work inside the packaging was more visible but I'll get over it.
