It's Star Wars, duh!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To me and to many, many people from my generation Star Wars is way much more than a movie. It's a cult. Enjoying this movie and keeping the fans intrigued throughout the whole episode is something that you will not get tired of watching and watching and watching. It already climbed all the way to my favorite movies of all time. Can't wait till next one on by the end of 2017!

It's Star Wars fool!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seriously, it's a new Star Wars movie that looks like it came from the good Star Wars movies. It's great. If you're going to complain that they just recycled the plot from A New Hope, go scratch. They could have recycled the plot from Plan 9 from Outer Space and it would have been amazing because it's old school Star Wars! Welcome back, we've been waiting 35 years for a sequel.

TFA but in 3D
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a better collectors' edition than the Steelbook was. I'd know - I got both because someone didn't tell me she got me the Steelbook as a pre-order and I ended up getting this as my pre-order (and yes, I kept them both). Also, the 3D was well done and looked terrific on both my Sony XBR850C 55" and my friend's BenQ DLP projector.

Star Wars....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.continues into the next generation. It was as people said, very similar to the New Hope (Episode IV). The story line is very similar in many ways and different in other ways. I saw places where they could have made some changes for the better but it didn't happen. Overall it wasn't a bad installment to the series and it was good entertainment. Many aspects will continue to be bashed by the fanatical Star Wars fan and/or by real science. However neither has any merit in the cinema realm. This is entertainment and it is good if you go with the flow and not make a big deal out of thing that can't happen or things that are skipped over. Just enjoy it and it is good science FICTION!

STAR WARS IS BACK!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I saw this in the theater my first reaction was: "I can't wait to get the home video to see how JJ Abrams made the SFX". This blu-ray does not disappoint with it's share of bonus features! That being said, I really liked this film! I have been a fan of the series since I first saw Star Wars in the 70's! Great storytelling makes this a fun film!

AWESOME STEELBOOK
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I of course wanted to get this at best buy because of the awesome looking steelbook, but also because it has all the extra features and discs plus i get BB reward bucks. I also got the target exclusive one and must say i was dissipointed slightly in the packaging and the fact their exclusive said 20 extra mins compared to everyone else yet it had the same exact discs and features.

Cool Packaging for a Mediocre Movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tl;dr version: Movie is mostly awful, worse than The Phantom Menace, but it comes in a cool steelbook. Worth buying on sale only. Full Review: I'm a Star Wars fan and have been most of my life so when I saw that they were making a new movie I was understandably excited. I saw many of my friends post on social media after seeing it that it was the best thing since sliced bread. When I finally was able to go see it I was incredibly disappointed. I don't want to spoil the "plot" for anyone that has yet to see it so I will summarize spoiler free. Star Wars: The Force Awakens has more plot holes than a space colander, zero character development, zero location development, no real peril/struggle, a laughable villain, and one of the laziest endings ever conceived in cinema. I really like J. J. Abrams as a director (Star Trek was fantastic and one of the few movies that can make me teary in the opening scene) but he is not a writer and should not have been able to touch this script. You would think with a recycled plot that it wouldn't be worse than the plot it stole. No, it's worse in every way. Overall it has very little originality with fan service scenes so forcefully tacked on that it would make a rancor cringe. Don't get me wrong, I watch and enjoy a lot of bad movies. I enjoy watching DOOM, which is widely considered to be one of the worst video game film adaptations of all time. However, no one is kidding themselves with it unlike The Force Awakens. I wouldn't have such a beef with Episode VII if people weren't so willfully blind to its flaws. I'm pretty sure I'm one of the few people in the universe that thinks The Phantom Menace is superior to The Force Awakens in almost every possible way. However, with all that being said it's not all bad. The special effects are on the awesome side of incredible. A female lead was a great move and I like what very little they tell about her. Sound design is excellent. There are couple of brief times where is the writing isn't totally inane and forced and a couple of legitimately funny jokes. So with all that being said you are probably wondering why I bought this. I bought it because it was on sale, it was a cool steelbook, and it completes my Star Wars film collection on blu-ray. I'm a completionist, plain and simple.

Love Love Love
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After watching Force Awakens in the movie theater, I knew that I would have to purchase the movie once on Blu-ray. It is such a wonderful, well-made movie. I become nostalgic of the original trilogy. And Force Awakens as the new installment of the Star Wars series, I can see great potential in the new trilogy that will captivate old and new fans. I would definitely recommend it!

One of the BEST!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While there are many fans out there and all have their own points of view on all of the movies, this review is based on a great movie and even better on Blu-Ray. I purchased the digital copy because it was released sooner but the sound effects on the Blu-Ray are so much better if you have a great theater system. Have to get the Blu-Ray copy to feel the full effect of the movie!

Great Star Wars or Greatest Star Wars?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Regardless of your opinion of the movie itself, this bluray set comes loaded with great special features-- a documentary worth $15 on its own, for example, and deleted scenes that illustrate a very economical approach to filmmaking (in that none of them were scenes where you say "man, I wish that had been in the movie!"). Having a digital copy of the film is also a great bonus.

Special features a bit lacking
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is NOT a review of the movie. Not a big deal, but I would have rather had some BB-8 action on the cover. Just a personal preference. The only problem I have with this release is I feel that it is lacking with special features considering what a big deal this movie is for fans and the film industry alike. I would really have liked the script-reading feature to have shown the entire meeting of the actors reading through the script. Instead, it was mostly the actors talking about the day they did that. I'm also a bit surprised that there is no commentary for the film. Overall, a great film and a great bluray release, just a little lacking with special features.

They Used the Force
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Probably the best news in the movie business over the past five years was George Lucas selling rights to his Star Wars franchise. The Force Awakens is a refreshing renewal while also very much in keeping with the vibe that made the original films so compelling. I'd like to see them be more creative and go beyond following in well-worn footsteps in future installments.

Oh no! They killed....!?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not going to spoil anything further. But this is another great Star Wars title and seemed to better recapture the feel of the original trilogy (A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi) then the other three installments did for me. The product itself is a pretty standard Blu-ray. It plays, and looks pretty. There's not much more to expect of a Blu-ray really.

Better than I thought
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this set for the 3D disc. Apparently can't get it any other way at this time. I rented the movie first and liked it better than I thought I would so I decided to go all out with this Collectors Edition. It was great to see Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher in their old roles again! Plenty of action and a little comedy thrown in, I found it very enjoyable.

Looks exactly like 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It really is amazing what they're doing with modern blu-ray technology. Unlike old VHS tapes, which often looked fuzzy and distorted, this 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' blu-ray looks exactly like the actual movie as shown in actual movie theaters. I'm not really an expert on this kind of advanced technology but it seems to run on some form of electricity. Highly recommended.

Excellent film!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, I know a lot of people had their opinion about this being a rip off of Episode IV: A New Hope, but sometimes you need to get back to basics. Sometimes you need to tap into just what made the original so memorable. I believe this movie did just that while still keeping the film entertaining. Disney is just getting started with Star Wars and they are off to a great start!!!

Great Movie and Collector's Set
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This latest movie in the Star Wars saga did not disappoint. It was great to see the original stars back in action along with the introduction of new characters who are sure to be included in future films. This steel book edition is a must for the avid collector. It is sad to note that Carrie Fisher, who has a significant role in this movie, has since passed away.

Did not disappoint
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being old enough to have seen the first Star Wars in the theaters and having seen and own all the episodes, I can only say that I am glad to see that the saga continues. I like the fact the original cast seems to be making a reappearance - rounding off the story in a very satisfying way. The blu-ray extra seem to hint at a wider view of the original story. I am a fan to end.

Great For 3D Lovers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really surprised at how great the cinematography turned out. I wasn't expecting any out of the screen experiences, but there were times when one felt like they were right there. The picture was crystal clear and the sound was amazing. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to others that own 3d TVs and of course who like Star Wars.

A welcome addition to the Stars Wars saga
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After the oftentimes disappointing results of episodes I, II & III; I was more than a little skeptical approaching this sequel. However, my fears were unwarranted. This is a great movie with interesting new characters and a few old ones in a totally new setting. Special effects abound but the story is never overwhelmed by them. I can't wait for the next film in the trilogy.
