The movie itself is quite good and very entertaining. It's a great start to the new trilogy. It's definitely worth owning. That said, I don't think it's better than any of the original trilogy movies, and it may not even be as good as Episode III. What the movie lacks is character development and a naturally flowing story line. I felt like there were quite a few "leaps of faith" that had to be taken in the movie (e.g. - Rey becomes pretty powerful pretty quick and Finn's conversion from being a storm trooper to joining the rebellion lacks a solid explanation). But... if you're a fan of the franchise, forget about all these details and just enjoy the movie.

I had this movie but when the price dropped on this edition that included the 3D version I picked it up as an upgrade. The movie itself was good with a good story. It's sad that this will be the last we see of Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher in the ongoing series. I'm wondering if they will continue this series or go on with standalone movies like Rogue One.

Firstly, I love buying movies with metal cases. To me it adds the value. Artfully decorated and sturdy. With everything that this set comes with certainly worth purchasing for same price for just Blu-Ray. Only Con: did not like the layout of how the dics are placed inside. Sit on top of each other and can be a pain when you just want to get to other discs.

If you're the type to spend a couple/few extra bucks on a dvd for extras you will like the Steelbook. I originally bought the Target exclusive due to the cool cover they had but immediately brought it back once I saw the cardboard case they were wrapping it into. I couldn't believe it. I brought that back for credit and immediately went to Best Buy to purchase Steelbook

The Blu-ray case looks awesome in black, I would of gave it 5 stars if not for the supplements leaving much to be desired. The bluray set comes with a DVD and digital copy. The film is presented in widescreen (2.35:1) and in DTS-HD 7.1 surround on the first disc. There’s nothing else on the first disc, no promos, no additional material, so it seems that the max bit rate has been used, and the picture and sound quality are excellent because of it. It’s a tremendous presentation, and the movie looks as good as it did in theaters. Disney wisely kept the film trailer free, so it doesn’t start with ten minutes of promos. You can just jump in. Highly Recomended!

This package hits a great balance with a Blu-ray disk, the DVD for the car, a good amount of special features (not too few, not too many), and the digital HD access code. For the Force Awakens itself, after the theater viewing I thought it was ok, but having seen it a few more times it is really growing on me. Highly recommend this package and film.

I actually bought this as a gift, as I already own the previous Blu-ray release of The Force Awakens. The steelbook packaging is quite nice and stands out among many of the other steelbooks. My brother-in-law was quite impressed with this set. The movie, of course, is a return to form of the Star Wars franchise, and a must-own for movie fans young and old.

This Star Wars entry is timeless. It brings back all the characters you fell in love with over 25 years ago, and puts them in their own story, that is very well written and acted, and pulls at the heartstrings, as well. If the Star Wars trilogy continues with this being the first, I cannot wait until they continue with this franchise.

High quality edge of your seat action on Blu-Ray. Surprised it wasn't offered in 3D as this would have been a good one for that format. As for the movie itself...no spoilers here...but I do like the new cast!!! I look forward to the next installment and hope it varies from the first set as the same ol', same ol' up/down rollercoaster motif is blasé to say the least!!!

The movie was a great movie for any Star Wars fan, but it lacked the vision from the original versions. They introduced a lot of new characters, but still brought back some of the old. I didn't like the ending and thought it should have continued a little longer or was introduced earlier in the movie. I won't ruin it for the few that haven't seen it, but it really was a let down. The story was more of a "building block" type story where they set you up for the next movie which will be huge! (hope this is the way it will work) Overall, it is a great movie to add to the collection! The first three will always be the best! (Yes even the Ewoks are great!)

I price-checked this item before buying it and decided on Best Buy. The picture quality is great as is the story. What's not to like? It's Star Wars! It's fun seeing Han Solo and his Wookiee friend Chewbacca back in the saddle. And Fin and Bo are now new favorites. I'll definitely buy the next Star Wars Blu-ray too: I've just GOT to know more about Rey's background.

Not my favorite Star Wars movie but entertaining none the less. The movie itself looks gorgeous, I just wish there was more bonus features. Looks great lined up next to my other Star Wars steelbooks!

Star Wars fan. Love The Force Awakens. I like the Best Buy Steelbook editions. What a great price ($9.99). This Steelbook was shipped to me and was dented upon arrival. Three discs (DVD, Blu Ray, and a "Bonus") . A digital copy flyer was included. I could not find an expiration date on the code flyer. It did say the digital copy was subject to expiration.

Of course I love the film. Saw it in the theater and purchased the Blu-ray release. But, this blatant manipulation of fans with a slightly delayed 3D release is offensive. I don't think those disinterested in 3D disks ought to pay for them, and creating a few packages with various options makes sense. I'm willing to pay for multi-disc packages. Paying a full price premium, TWICE, is foul play. I can think of no better way to burn off good will and create an angry fan base that this type of crass money grab by the studio. Best Buy is unlikely to have any decision-making role, but they ought to push back on studios that play these games.

But it's not great either this movie left a lot of unanswred questions an there was lots of little things that bothered me an didn't seem to follow script for example it took like years to learn how to use a light saber but The girl and a storm trooper just picks it up an is able to hang with a Sith Lord even one in training .........watch it u will know what I mean!

We normally don't buy movies from Best Buy because of the price, I was really surprised that the price was so reasonable and the selection was awesome. There were different versions and even styles to choose from, we purchased the Blu-Ray with 4k and were very pleased. Even though it was the day after the video came out there were plenty left for us to choose from.

Few movies do that, live up to the hype that is, but this movie, much more than many other franchise series' went above and beyond. The cinematography was amazing and the story was compelling. If you only saw it in the theater, you didn't see the DVD extras. Ever since Episode 4 came out, the tricks of the trade have fascinated me and this was pretty darn awesome.

Alright, 5 stars that is pretty high right. Well this movie is awesome. So what if they just reused Star Wars. This movie had everything I wanted in it and more. I fell in love with BB-8 just like I fell in love with R2-D2 as a kid. The flight action sequences where tremendous. Just an amazing amazing film.. no an amazing experience. Made me feel like I was 6 again.

Very good Star Wars movie. Feels much more like the originals then the prequels and that is a good thing. They did a very good job to respect the series. If you like Star Wars then this is a must watch movie. But who am I kidding, if you are a Star Wars fan you have already seen this movie. Wait... then why are you reading this? You should be writing your own review.

Good, steel case was a nice touch for my collect. Only down side was there was only one variant. I'm not a fan of kylo so while the cover was cool it would have been better to have a rebel variant with Rey, fin and Poe with Leila and Han in the background facing each other. Still cool though but will be gathering dust as the digital version has my complete attention.
