30 years after the defeat of Darth Vader and the Empire, Rey, a scavenger from the planet Jakku, finds a BB-8 droid that knows the whereabouts of the long lost Luke Skywalker. Rey, as well as a rogue stormtrooper and two smugglers, are thrown into the middle of a battle between the Resistance and the daunting legions of the First Order.

This reboot - is pretty much just that a very similar story to the original film but with some new characters and the key old ones Luke, Han and Leia , with appearances by R2D2 and C3PO and of course Chewy. It's good VS evil all over again. This marks the first in a series of films coming to keep Star Wars in the theaters for many years to come! Enjoy the ride.

I bought this movie and the rest of the Star Wars saga to watch from the beginning to the end. I grew up on the original movies that were released out of order. It all makes sense now, watching them order along with the TV and animated shows.

My whole family, hubby and twin daughters (4 years old), thoroughly enjoyed this film. They heard about the characters from friends at school and I felt compelled to let them watch it. There was a lot of action, but they really enjoyed it. I think one of them may have closed her eyes for a split second, but she couldn't resist and was right back in. We had fun.

You can't go wrong; like if you didn't purchase this then not a fan but simply a sheeple; I mean c'mon it's Star Wars...it was phenomenal from start to end and JJ hit the nail on the head multiple times recapturing the feeling and shots of the original trilogy; brought a tear to my eye and will kick start the SW franchise with a new millennial minus generation!

The quality of the bluray reminds me of when I first watched this movie in theaters. The bluray provides a great avenue to enjoy the great soundtrack and special effects that we have come to expect from such a storied franchise. I enjoy the simple cover to the case slip on as well. Not too much going on compared to the older star wars covers and posters.

Love this movie. This is the best Star Wars movie since Return of the Jedi and it is very entertaining and watching it in 3D doesn't get any better. The 3D effects are stunning!! It puts you right in the action. The 7.1 DTS-HD MA sound is absolutely spectacular. Can't wait for episodes VIII and IX. Get the 3D release of this film. Definitely worth it!!

I am and always will be, a Star Wars fan since the original (Episode IV) was released on theaters on May, 1977. So yes, I like the movie. In terms of the product, it was well packaged (not broken), not missing anything and the BRay and DVD discs were both in good condition. May the Force be With You.... I saw this movie the day before opening day in 3D at the theatre. Although I enjoyed the movie it astounded me that I was watching a retelling of episode 4. Droid gets mission, gets help on a desert planet, meets Han & Chewie, blah blah blah, blow up the Death Star. I'm sure Disney was just playing it safe. All around 5* for the franchise and 4* for the movie.

This is definitely not my favorite! I really liked the first Star Wars trilogy, The Empire Strikes Back was my favorite. The second trilogy in my opinion, was bad, I really dislike the hopping thru time, prequel, sequel, etc. My favorite part of the new movie is the characters of the women rock! It was exciting to see women in the lead roles instead of the ever popular stand by... standing behind dey man! I have to say that the Star Wars toys and merchandise was ridiculous, are they commercials for the movie or are the movies just big commercials for toys? They oversaturate the market and nothing is unique or collectable anymore.

Promising start to the sequel trilogy. Too bad it got derailed on the second installment. Imagine what could've been.

This is a great movie to introduce new generations to the Star Wars universe. While many areas mirror the original, this movie holds it own and draws from its heritage. The bundled extras is great to show how they did the effects and why they cut scenes and have the story go in the direction they took it. A must have for any Star Wars fan or movie enthusiast!

I held out on buying the 2D version from earlier in the year because Disney said they were putting a 3D one out later. I'm so glad I did. 3D is really the only way to see this movie, especially the Space Battles. Add to that a new commentary with JJ Abrams and you really can't go wrong with this package. Of course I only recommend it if you have 3D

I loved this movie, though I admit that I am more of a fan of the original canon. I saw Star Wars at a drive-in when it came out in '77 and enjoyed seeing each movie as it was released. The Force Awakens has been long awaited and was full of action that fans have come to expect. There was a moment in the movie that I was NOT happy with, but it is what it is.

This is the set that Darth Disnius should have put out for Episode VII instead of going once for our wallets with the standard version in 2D, and then pick-pocket us again for this beautiful set. Totally worth it... At least I have my set of lithographs from the Disnius Store, and I gave my original copy away to a friend so it worked out in the end.

It's not often I purchase physical Media, but when I do, it's because it's important! 1) It's Star Wars 2) The "Collectors" case's from Best Buy are top notch, at not that much more of an additional cost. 3) It's Star Wars 4) It comes with a Blue Ray Copy, a DVD Copy, and a Digital Copy. Can't really ask for more. 5) It's Star Wars. 6) Rae, is a bae.

A great return of the franchise. JJ Abrams and company definitely restored faith in the saga that had lost some thanks to the prequel movies. The story and characters are great across the board. On top of all of this, the extras with this blu ray were excellent. Some of, if not the best extras I have ever seen to go with a movie. Definitely worth a buy!

To a new era in the saga. I think we can all agree that the prequels failed to live up expectations. I'm delighted to be able to say that this movie EXCEEDED my expectations! It was like stepping out of a time machine and I was a little kid, again. I'm not ashamed to say I got a little misty eyed by how RIGHT they got this. A must own for any Star Wars fan!

The Force Awakens is an excellent movie to reopen the Star Wars universe. Some may feel the nostalgia moments are too similar to A New Hope, but likely these would be the same people to complain if it was too different. If you enjoyed the Original Trilogy, or just like sci-fi space based movies, I highly recommend adding The Force Awakens to your collection.

Star Wars says it all whats not to like. My issue was the fact the steelbook artwork did not flow in comparison to the steelbook releases for the previous 6 movies which was the disappointment. The back should have had the movie poster for art work vice a character who wasnt even in the movie that long. Steelbook is still a nice way to go for the whole saga
