The long awaiting return of the Star Wars franchise was no let down. It was everything that episode 1-3 should have been. It has a set of characters that draw you in, and you find yourself emotionally attached to them as we were with Luke, Hand, Leah, and Chewy. I look forward to seeing episode 8 when it's out in theaters, come December.

The 3 added deleted scenes (not included on the original Blu-ray release) and the extra special features are nice, but I got this for the 3D and audio commentary (which is not on the 3D disc, only on the regular included Blu). The 3D is amazing, but the JJ Abrams commentary is disappointing. Boring, really. He admits right off the bat that he doesn't enjoy doing these things, and it shows. I'd recommend getting this only if you have a 3D TV and player. Otherwise, it's not really worth the upgrade.

Saw this in the theater with my two sons on opening night. Reminded me of when I saw the original in 1977 with my own father. The look in their eyes seeing the opening crawl on a huge IMAX screen immediately returned me to my youth.

Ok people, in a nutshell if youre a star wars fan you know you have to, absolutelly have to have this movie. It looks incredible on blu ray and i highly recommend it. The only gripe i have with the movie is witht he overall story itself. It seems like a same old same old story line and the character of kylo ren seems a bit weak. Anyway... buy this movie!!!

Steelbook is nice, but not sure how 'collectable' it will be. If any movie will be collectible, it would be Star Wars. But then there are no doubt many millions of these made too. BlueRay, DVD and streaming covers the basics for travel. The 3D version is well done and awesome on a home TV. If you have a 3D TV, get the 3D version instead of this.

Ahh! More Star Wars. Everything about it stood tall with the series with action, suspense, and the ending. Seeing the older actors crossing over to the latest episode was just enough and tied everything together. It was a wonderful movie for the genere. The good news, it looks like there will be more movies, the bad news....you will have to see the movie!

I won't go into all the debate over the movie and characters...that's just silly. IT'S A MOVIE. I am a little disappointed that they announced the 3d version right after I bought this. Anyways, good Star Wars movie. The bad guys in this one were probably a little over the top as far as being zealous and murderous, not really good material for younger children like the earlier Star Wars movies. Overall, however, it was a feel good movie that had you cheering for the good guys (and gals). I liked the case, it was unique and the reason that I purchased the steel book instead of the regular version. May the force be with you :).

The blu ray contains everything one needs with the purchase of the film. At this point, it is more for the star wars fan to purchase not so much for the casual fan. It's tempting not to buy because it will be streaming on some program in the near future. However, fans will want to own the collectible extras, of which, there is a wealth of insights shared.

Loved TFA! Perfect director (J.J. Abrams) to tackle this extraordinary feat. The new young cast of characters mixed in perfectly with the characters we grew to love when Star Wars IV - A New Hope first hit the theaters in 1977. Daisy Ridley (Rey) steals the best performance award. I can't wait to see what Rey, Finn, and Poe bring to the next installment.

I was nine when the original Star Wars came out, so I'm the very definition of a "Star Wars Kid." And while The Force Awakens doesn't reach the heights of the first two original films, it IS better than Return of the Jedi or any of the prequels. The Blu-ray has some good in-depth features, much like the bonus material found in the "Complete Saga" box set.

The movie itself is one of the best Star Wars movies ever made. Even with the similarities it has to the original movie. The extras included with the set are great looks into the creation of many different aspects of the movie and remind me of how much I enjoyed the same things when they were TV specials released back when Return of the Jedi had come out.

Bought it when it was on sale for 20 bucks. At this price it's totally worth it. You get the DVD, blu ray, and digital. The digital can also be linked to your Amazon, iTunes, Google play, vudu, etc. account so you don't need the Disney anywhere app to watch. If you like the star wars movies this is a solid purchase. Now to wait for it to come out in 4k...

So, growing up when the original Star Wars were coming out, it was amazing to watch on the big screen. Technology and affordable home theater systems weren't as abundant. All and all, I've always loved the original three movies, but came to like the rest and had to release my past ways of thinking. This movie is great to add to the long coming storyline!

I'm a huge star wars fan and I had seen this movie multiple times while it was in theaters so naturally I was going to buy this movie once in came out on DVD. This movie brings together characters from past movies to a new generation of Star Wars in an epic, action packed, thrill ride. A must see movie for anyone that is a fan of the Star Wars franchise.

After seeing the movie in theaters I was worried that it was just nostalgia that made the movie so good. After watching it again I can for sure say that it isn't the case. If you enjoyed the original trilogy, this movie is like seeing friends you haven't seen in a long time. And if you haven't seen the other movies, this is a great starting point.

I saw the original Star Wars as a first-run in the theaters and that makes me a bit of a bore at parties. True fans understand what I'm talking about. Well, I'm here to say that not every sequel or prequel matched that original viewing in terms of impact, novelty and style. True fans understand what I'm talking about. So when I say that this latest addition gives younger and newer fans something to chew on, I mean that in a good way. The times they have a-changed and Star Wars has evolved right along with them. Since this is still a relatively new film, I won't spoil the fun. Let's just say, if you're a true fan, you'll like it.

I was hoping this would come out in 3D, so I held off on buying the original release. I'm really glad I did, because the 3D presentation did not disappoint one bit. I saw this movie in IMAX 3D when it came out, and I wanted to bring that same experience back to my home theatre! Highly recommend if you're a fan of Star Wars and the 3D format!

Great quality release. Could have added more bonus features, but still worth owning in UHD!

This blu ray set was a day one buy for me, I have been a fan of star wars for over forty years. I couldn't be happier with this movie, it was SO MUCH BETTER than any star wars movie released since return of the jedi and to have it on blu ray high definition is awesome! Love the deleted scenes and some cool extra features as well. HIGHLY recommended set!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens promised to be a big box office hit, regardless of whether the movie was actually good. Luckily, the movie was excellent -- paying homage to the original trilogy while still building its own unique story to add to the Star Wars universe. The Blu-ray looks and sounds fantastic. If you like the movie, you'll love this product!
