Harmonious blend of old Star Wars feel and new storyline. I saw the movie and the theatre and knew I would buy the blu Ray as soon as it came out. I pre-ordered the steel book and it looks great. There aren't as many good special features as my boxed blu Ray set of the first six but the movie alone is worth buying and its s must to add to my collection.

Although I found it distasteful that the 3D version was released many months after the blue ray version was released. This meant that I had to wait or purchase the non-3D version and wait for the 3D version and then purchase it again. I know this is not the fault of the retailer, but it is the only negative thing I have to say about the movie.

So even though its another classic Star Wars story again and again, over and over/same plot. Another...newer....Death Star? I was glad to have another story back in town! Great to see returning cast members of the first films, and nice mix of new characters, BB8!!! Is just a good solid movie, and really, any new Star Wars, even bad is good in my book.

While having many similarities to the films in the original trilogy (most notably A New Hope), the Force Awakens is a fresh addition to the Star Wars Skywalker Saga. The acting is top notch for the new group of characters (Rey, Finn, Poe and Kylo), and the tight dialog and action should rank this film within the top three in the saga in anyone's list..

Awesome family fun This is definitely part of the Star Wars family that reminds me back in 1977 for the original Star Wars of the making no doubt this next three film series is going to be 100% contribute to the original score also can't wait for rogue one. Awesome story telling nonstop action and also tragedy all rolled in one and of course the hero

It is Star Wars. What more can be said? If you are reading a review on the DVD/BlueRay/Digital version, you are either planning to buy the movie or are wondering if the disc spins. At which point i say, "no it rolls, so the player must be vertical." If you are looking for a movie review, it is easy. You either like Star Wars movies or you don't.

This is a new story to the epic space opera that is Star Wars. In Episode 6 we meet new and old heroes in a movie that starts off a brand new trilogy. This movie was amazing. I was happy to see them take parts from the original trilogy and make it their own. The sound effects and music were jaw dropping. Definitely worth buying the Steelbook for this

The steel book came with the extra behind the scene extras 2hrs worth. Really makes the purchase worthwhile. Played on my newly purchased 2016 HDR Samsung made it even more fun. Image had a 3d quality and the colors were very vibrant. Look forward to the next two episodes,. So glad that Disney bought the franchise and will complete the saga.

Great opening day price for Star Wars the Force Awakens in Blu Ray DVD and digital copy of $19.99. Used a $5 Best Buy bonus rewards check to drop it even further. Plenty of them in stock, no wait in line to purchase, easy to scan coupon from my phone and account. Well worth the effort to shop, review and purchase from Best Buy. Great movie as well.

I have to admit that I am a bit of a Star Wars nut... with that said I definitely wasn't disappointed with this Blu Ray/DVD combo pack. I am always happy to find DVD choices that include both Blu Ray and DVD. My family has both DVD and Blu Ray players so it makes it very convenient for us to purchase a combo pack. Overall very happy with my purchase!

Great being able to relive the special wonderfulness of this new generation of Star Wars. Seeing it at home allows my to pick up on nuances that were missed in the theater. There are so many little things to look for in this film. The Behind The Scenes extra disc was fascinating. Love to see how they do things. Recommend this to any Star Wars fan.

The movie may not have reinvented the wheel, but it did a great job at bringing new fans in to the fold and reinvigorating a franchise that had been underserved by the previous three films. Finn, Poe, and Rey are every bit as fun and as likable as the original cast and this is a nice, understated steelbook to collect the film in.

There's really nothing I can say here that can't be found in any number of online reviews and discussions. I will simply say that I have been a lifelong fan of the original trilogy, and while The Force Awakens may not have quite the same feel, it is still an excellent addition to the canon and I look forward to the upcoming installments in the saga.

Looks great, nice shape, works well in any standard blu ray player. I used my Xbox one. You just put the disk in, and blamm-o, the little hd wizards that I assume live inside use their hd magic to project images onto the hd sheet hanging on the wall. 10/10 would blu-ray again.

Anyone with a movie collection must own this disc. Bought the steelbook and was not going to open it and wait for the 3D version (hopefully by Christmas, Disney), but BB still had them on the shelf 3 weeks after release. Opened it and watched it again and was not dissappointed. Looks (and sounds) better in my home then when I saw it in the theater.

I saw this at the cinema and I'm glad I did... it was amazing to see it on the big screen, just like all the other ones (even the original Star Wars I saw at the cinema as a kid). It was a fun "reboot" of sorts. If you're a Star Wars fan (on any level), you enjoyed the nods and parallels to the original trilogy. It's a nice start to the continuation of the original mythology. If it had been more of an original storyline I would've rated it higher, but I obviously liked it, as I bought it for my collection. It's a fun time... and it was nice to reunite with some "old friends". And btw... the Blu-ray transfer is beautiful.

If you are a Star Wars Fan you were waiting for this movie for a long time. The buildup before was long and intense, so most of us saw it at least once or like the members in my family more than once in the theaters.But it does not mean we would not want to see it again in the comfort of our home. So for all of us Star Wars Geeks, buy it and enjoy.

I had been trying to wait to buy any more StarWars movies until the complete box set is released but I think I'd rather build the collection with these steelbooks as they're released. They aren't much more (if any) expensive, look really cool and come with Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital. I'm sold. If you're a Star Wars fan, these are the ones to get.

The Force Awakens does exactly what it needs to do in order to restart the Star Wars franchise. J.J. Abrams does a decent job of introducing the next generation of characters to lead this new saga. The film can be frustrating at times though, Abrams relies too much on coincidences to move the plot forward, and the movie is basically A New Hope with a 21st century coat of paint on it, but like I said the new characters: Rai, Finn, and Kylo Ren are so great it's easy to overlook the films flaws. The extras on the Blu-ray are light compared to other Star Wars home video releases, but the movie itself worth the purchase.

If you are a star wars fan as i seen all of them when they hit the theaters over the years loved them all masterful storytelling. Is there errors in the stories all movies have them I love it when people try to bring logic into a movie its made as entertainment so the facts dont apply if it was all about the facts it would be a documentry
