I was lucky enough to see the movie a few times in the theatre, and it still holds up on Blu-Ray. It looks and sounds amazing. There are some good extras on the disc, including the SteelBook packaging, but there could be so. Much. More. I hope there is a future edition with more extras, but for now, this is a good version to own.

The movie is good don't get me wrong but the story is to similar to parts of the first 3. I can kind of see why they did this since the second 3 films they did get away from what made the first 3 great and they are trying to get back to there but I wanted more so I was a bit disappointed but I will give them a pass on this one. Now that they got back there and have new characters for us to follow it will be interesting to see where the story goes moving forward. No more free passes. In regards to the Blu Ray the video is good and the Audio Track really rocks in 7 to 1.

If your old enough to have seen the 1st Star Wars in the theatre as a kid (or was it the 4th Star Wars, anyway.... "A New Hope") you'll recognize the similarities in the plot that this movie has. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. At least it's not Star Wars 1, 2 or 3 or is that 4, 5 and 6? I'm just a confused old man.

I enjoyed this move quite a bit, I think it starts to make up for the three lacking prequels we had to endure. If you enjoyed the original trilogy then I think you will enjoy this one as well. It's hard to see the parallels between The Force Awakens and A New Hope but I also think that was part of the charm of the movie as well.

Even though the movie seemed similar in nature to the Star Wars: A New Hope, I loved the movie. 3D was good; I especially liked the flying sequence when Rey took off in the Millennium Falcon. Although the movie does leave a few questions unanswered, overall it was a great movie and an excellent start to the new trilogy.

I hadn't actually gotten to see this in the theater, so this was my first time watching. While obviously Blu-Ray isn't quite the same as seeing it on the huge screen, it's a very entertaining film, and on a good TV, you still definitely get to enjoy all of the special effects. Well worth it if you're a Star Wars or sci-fi fan.

Love the original first three in series - 4, 5 & 6. Did not like episode 1 & 2 which actually came later, and acting was very bad in 3. Episode 7 takes us back to the original story, and not just a movie about digital special effects with nothing that seems "real" or that makes any sense.

It can’t be a better movie if I saw it at least 12 times when it was released many years ago. It’s so much does have the episode four feeling. It does however shows some awesome battle scenes during the movie. It’s a really fun movie to watch.

This movie is all I expected it to be - GREAT! The Steel Book was a bonus and also great. Would recommend this purchase to any Star Wars fan and even if you are not it still is a good movie with lots of action, great scenes and animation, and sadly Hans Solo - Harrison Ford final. He will be missed in future episodes.

I was glad that my son recommended this movie to me because it's a movie that my husband and I will watch more than once. It is fast-paced and really held my attention. I bought the 3D version and I'll say that it is terrific but a little bit of ghosting. If you have a 3D theater I recommend buying this movie in 3D.

The 3-D is done very well. I wish they would put the other Star Wars films out in 3-D. I've seen a demo of the original Star Wars in 3-D and thought it looked great. A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back are my favorite Star Wars films and I'd love to see them this way. I do think this film is extraordinarily derivative of the original film and would have liked a little more creativity and originality, but it is still an entertaining film with some great action scenes and likable characters and would be a nice addition to anyone's 3-D film collection.

This movie was FANTASTIC! The visuals, the story, the acting, the directing. I can't say enough about this movie! My wife, who isn't a sci fi fan and who, until last year hadn't even seen star wars before, loved it too! I am really looking forward to the next movie now to see where this is going. This is a must own for any fan!

If you're looking at this than I'm sure you've already seen the movie and are curious about the case and bonus features. That being said, the case looks nice but it is only aluminum so it will dent easily (ask me how I know). There are some quality bonus features on the included blu ray that are certainly worth viewing.

What can you say about the latest Star Wars movie that hasn't been said. It is a great movie especially in BlueRay. Graphics and sound are outstanding on my home theater system. Bestbuy's pricing was the best in town on the day it was released. I check with their stores before I buy rely released videos, price can't be beat.

For a film that resurrects an almost lost franchise from a bygone era i thought this was just about as good as it could be.. all circumstances included... Always great to see original cast members moving it along... And Rey... Wowie zowie..

Can't explain to you how excited I was for this movie, especially since it was coming out on my birthday. It does everything the prequels should have done, not suck. J. J. Abrams gave the saga new life with new characters and a brand new adventure to unfold in the coming years. If you love Star Wars, then you'll love this movie

I debated which Star Wars DVD to buy and decided to go with this one because it had extra content describing the making of the movie, selection of the cast, etc. My kids loved the movie (as expected) and also enjoyed the extra scenes; the extra content provides us something to watch until the next movie comes out. Great buy!

This movie was done much better than when they went back and did number 1. It is as good as the original ones from the 70's. This was the first one my wife had seen and liked it so much she wants to go back and see the others. Note: This is in line with the Star Wars movies and not a stand-a-lone like Rogue One.

A definite purchase even if you already purchased the movie before. A much more comprehensive list of features gives you a lot more information about the making of the film. Deleted scenes, a 3D presentation, and an attractive packaging round out the pluses of this release. A must have especially for Star Wars fan.

Great movie! Although there are scenes which makes one wonder? Not entirely what you "may think" it'll be about. Near the end of this movie, unknown upon beginning this movie, that will happen! There are many things that occur... making "some" things happen unknown until they happen. Makes one want to see the future movies!!!
