This film is mostly, mystifyingly, a remake of a New Hope. You'd think that'd be a knock--and maybe it is. Maybe I would have liked for it to go forward. But JJ Abrams did as well here as he did on Star Trek. He brings back old friends and does some fine casting for the new stars. I think Star Wars is in good hands

I loved all the Star Wars movies and this one is just as good! It is a fun, action packed, and intriguing movie. I liked it better the second time I watched it, I caught so much more detail that I missed the first time. The steel book version is awesome! I can't wait to see what comes next in the Star Wars series!

This is an excellent continuation of the series. All the actors are absolutely brilliant, although I think the Brits outshone the Americans a bit. The choice of Daisy Ridley to play the hero is genius. She's a petite, pretty young woman but judge her not by her size. Great movie and cannot wait for the next movie.

First things first, the steel box case is awesome. I have always been a fan as they are limited edition and very durable. Secondly the movie is just pure bliss. I haven't seen a star wars movie on the big screen in a decade and it feels nice to see them again as amazing as always. It is definitely worth the money.

If you are a Star Wars fan you will appreciate this movie. It takes you back to the original trilogy without going crazy on special effects like the prequel trilogy. Storyline is familiar but overall an entertaining movie. New characters bring the movie to life while keeping true to the original Star Wars trilogy.

It recaptures the magic and wonder of the original Star Wars. Some would say a little too closely as the plot has many similar elements. But that's what we all wanted, right? We wanted Star Wars to be like Star Wars. If you never saw Star Wars, you can watch this and enjoy it greatly but there are a ton of homages and acknowledgements to the original movies and these may pull at the fan's heartstrings. The video presentation is spectacular and many parts are just good old fun. The soundtrack while nice has nothing iconic in it and was a let down for me.

Having already purchased this title when it was 1st released I was happy to hear it was now being released in the 3D format. The effects now have a much more immersive intensity and the picture looks great. I highly recommend this to those who have 3D technology in their home and love this Star Wars Story.

Was a fairly good movie other than the fact it was basically SW episode 4 all over again, slightly different. Goes to show how Hollywood cannot thing outside the box.

An excellent Star Wars film to continue the franchise or introduce new fans to the Star Wars universe. Many have said it is too much like the original Star Wars but I feel like that is part of the appeal. The new characters fit in nicely among fan favorites and the updated X-wing and Tie fighter ships look great.

As far as the movie goes, I thought it was maybe 2nd or 3rd best in my opinion. Sure there are some repetitive themes but that's been a signature of the entire series. Great performances by all. As for this set I deducted one star only because I anticipate there will be future sets with more features and more deleted scenes. The documentaries were very nice but from what I've read there are probably a lot more deleted scenes or story boards they could have included. The blu ray looked great on my HD set and frequently watch the digital download on my phone.

I already owned the regular Blu-Ray edition of The Force Awakens, but when this edition came out I bought it so I could watch in 3D. The movie is probably my favorite since The Empire Strikes Back, and this is the best edition of the film to buy since it comes with practically every version imaginable.

This is a great movie for the family and kids. It pays homage to previous movies and has easter eggs older fans of the series can appreciate. I believe it has alot of good character developments, however, the plot could be a little better explaining some situations. Overall it is a great movie everyone can enjoy.

While I may have a few small issues with the film, I nevertheless thoroughly enjoyed myself watching it. I love JJ Abrams and his style and I still believe he was the right man to start the new trilogy and era of Star Wars and still hold on to some of the aspects of the original trilogy that made it so beloved.

I was disappointed when they released this movie without the 3d version and waited patiently for this 3d version to drop. I gotta say the best Star wars movie in my opinion especially with the 3d incorporated. Definitely recommend this to any movie watcher whether your a fan of not you will love it !

The SteelBook matches the original six Star Wars SteelBooks with similar artwork and a debossed Star Wars logo. The Blu-ray's picture quality is flawless - as good as it gets at 1080p. And the uncompressed surround audio is just as good. The extras are also great, though the deleted scenes were a let-down.

The new Star Wars installment was well worth the wait! This movie is awesome with many surprises and a few OMG's thrown in there. The appearance of the original crew is a great touch but a few surprises that make no sense. Leia not going to Chewbecca after they return made little sense but it is the movie.

Star Wars The Force Awakens is a super blu ray release, here in the steelbook edition with Kylo Ren on the cover. Same stuff in the regular blu ray release (DVD plus blu ray plus the making of disc). Video is excellent and the sound can shake the paint off the walls at times. Very nice in the steelbook edition.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a true addition to the franchise. It's a retelling of the original story for a new generation of characters being lead in by the classic characters. The audio & visuals on this Blu-Ray are gorgeous. You can feel every shot and see every flicker of the lightsabers during battles

Star Wars episode VII is an amazing installment in the Star Wars saga that director James Abrams brings back the magic of the original Trilogy. The Best Buy Steel book looks amazing and the special features on the Blu Ray are great. Except the deleted scenes felt a little short. All in all this is a great movie

Spoilers below!! In this day of empowering women, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised JJ wanted to make a story with a strong, female lead. It's a shame really...that he didn't do it right. How I miss the old days of Star Wars and George's screenwriting. I gave this a fair shake, I really did. But you can't expect me to believe that in the span of a few hours (movie time), that Rey managed to learn the tricks of the Force so well that she overpowered Kylo Ren, and somehow needs Luke Skywalker's further training which leads to Episode 8.
