I had not seen the movie yet because I've been living and working overseas. So I was ready to watch it and boy did I get a great experience! But; after purchasing a new Ultra HD 4K 3D TV and player, this was my first viewing experience. I cannot say that I was disappointed at all in the quality cinematography or breathtaking landscapes, and this was a fantastic movie for 3D. So..as far as Star Wars movies go, there could have been a few improvements. As far as a 3D media experience in high definition; I couldn't have been happier!

This movie blew me away, it was an excellent start to a new trilogy. Finally breathing new life into a franchise that had become pretty stale on the cinematic stage. Physical presentation was great, packaged in a glossy steelbook that kept in line with the resent releases of the prior trilogies on steelbook.

This set is a good collectors item, matches with the other 6 star wars steelbook collection well. Movie was great and lived up to hype. Bonus commentary and behind the scenes were quite captivating. I especially liked the first script reading this is one film I highly recommend watching all the extras!

I loved this movie, reminded me of the original three in that it was more story and character centered. I thought it was cast well and the actors were talented and had great chemistry. Great visual effects and cinematography, but the story and characters definitely shined the brightest for me.

I collect movies, in particular, steelbooks. This steelbook has excellent artwork and was particularly satisfying in that it was a Star Wars movie. The movie was awesome, the steelbook was awesome and they lowered the price just before I picked up my preorder! Couldn't be more satisfied with a movie purchase

Part new and advanced. Part old and original. The balance of this new edition into Star Wars is off to a great start. The new characters and actors did a fine job. And always a pleasure and joy to see the original cast members pop up along for the ride. J.J. served as the right choice behind the camera too.

The Force Awakens reaches back to the roots of what Star Wars is. After three poor to mediocre films it was great to see a mixture of classic characters with new story-rich characters blended together. The Force Awakens lives up to the hype and reminds us all why we are fans of Star Wars in the first place.

I thought I was nerd, and then I met my brother, I gave him the Movie for his birthday this year, I thought it was an adequate gift considering he got me a cheap China made glass octopus from Hobby Lobby. I am thankful for that octopus. He didn't complain about the movie. So I give it a full 5 star rating.

as expected, the movie and story line are excellent. closes some doors and opens up new ones (characters). with all the ways to stream movies, i own very few movie dvds/blu-rays, but star wars is my exception. the blu-ray included a digital copy, so i can watch the movie via any device. worth the price.

Great movies are nice but not always worth more than a rental. Star Wars films are not those kind of movies. Star Wars films are worth ownership on the best possible format. The force awakens is no different. Especially when combined with all of the other 6 films. This purchase is worth every dollar spent.

Lets face it, this movie IS episode 4! But to be fair to the producer it kind of had to be. This new entry sets the mood up for the next titles and after that raw fight scene at the end it just goes to show that these two have so much potential! Can't wait for the next one because its going to be awesome!

The seventh episode of the star wars saga! I loved this movie, give us a new story after what happened in The return of the jedi! It's really great seeing Han Solo and Princess Leia again! If you're a star wars fan you HAVE TO buy the movie in this steel box, it is such a great package! Worth the price!!

I watched the movie 4x now and as in all SWars movies there was a lot of things that were easily missed the1st time around. So watching it atleast 2x whould be a good idea. Overall the had a good theme but having the climax hit at the end of the film kinda sucked. Kinda like a TV sitcom that leaves you at the edge of your seat hanging till the next movie. I like movies with happy endings, and to me movies that start with trouble at the beginning and end happy are better. It leaves you with a feeling of resolve, completeness. Have a nice day... ;O)

If you are a Star Wars fan, then you have already seen the Force Awakens. It was irritating that the 3D version was not released with the original release, but Disney knows what they are doing...they knew they would get me for another $30. If you love Star Wars like I do, then this is a no brainer.

Exciting entry into the series. When many felt a let down when Disney gained control of the franchise, J.J. Abrams put together a blend of old and new and made the series special again. Highly recommended for any fans of the series and even if you are new to Star Wars, this is a great way to be introduced.

I love this movie. Some complain about the call back to the original trilogy, but that's what makes this truly feel like a Star Wars movie. Forget the prequels, this is what fans have been waiting for all these years. Additionally, the special edition case is great. Definitely worth the extra few dollars.

If you were apprehensive about another star wars set after the original trilogy, stop worrying. JJ Abrams did a fantastic job with this movie. Now that Disney owns the property it is nice knowing that someone finally took away George Lucas' crayons and someone knows what they are doing with this franchise.

A must for any collector. Packaging is awesome. Nothing is as good as the first three, but this is as good as it can get. Lots of fun for the whole family. My son, is a lover of the franchise and he sees new details each time he watches.....always enjoyable and entertaining to watch again & again!

What can I say really? Its Star Wars! Must own if nothing else this year. Even if you've never watched any Star Wars before, you can watch this and enjoy it. My 8 yr old girl even watches it all the time. Great picture and audio affects! We've watched this a ton since bringing it home. Gotta get it folks!

This isn't about the movie - it's about the fragile steelbook. What bugs me is that the online order - in store pickup process frequently gets me damaged goods that I have to "return" and re-buy to get good packaging. It's like the fast food drive through - I always get the cold fries. In this case, a BB employee picked one off the floor that had dents in the steel - that the gift recipient didn't see until they broke the wrapper seal. Took it back, but can't exchange because it's "open". Now I have an noncollectable, collectible!!!
