Loved this movie when I saw it in theaters and couldn't wait to grab it on blu-ray. This was made even more enjoyable by the collector's steel book it came in, totally worth getting it from Best Buy for, I don't even think it cost more than the normal blu-ray at other stores too.

Like one film critic said, it's like seeing old friends. There's no ground breaking story here, but it is a nice introduction to the new characters and getting reacquainted with the older characters that we miss. This film is really setting up the next two (I hope), just like the original Star Wars did. If you are looking for a totally re-imagined and new story, you won't get it, but what this movie lacks in ground breaking story, it makes up for in well executed visuals and a sorely needed welcome home.

Yeah, it's Star Wars. If this review is actually being read with actual consideration in purchasing a Star Wars film, I suggest you re-evaluate your life choices. ;) Buy it, watch it, watch it again, then watch it a few more times. Maybe at least every few months. Then start over.

Forget about the prequel trilogy. This is the true Star Wars sequel we've been waiting for since Return of the Jedi. I saw this movie 4 times in theaters, and twice so far since its home release. If you like anything about Star Wars, but haven't seen this yet, you are missing out!

Good movie overall. One one hand, it re-uses a lot of gimmicks from the Original Trilogy (Episodes 4-6), for example, the weird alien band playing weird alien music in a weird alien "Wild West" bar on the outposts of civilization. On the other hand, this story and movie is far better than the "Prequel" Trilogy (Episodes 1-3). After watching this Episode (7), I am now hooked back into being a fan of Star Wars. They kind of lost me with those Prequel Episodes, but now they have me back.

I remember standing in line for Star Wars when I was 7 years old...so with that in mind I am a fan of the first 3 movies (or as now called, episode 4-6) and was skeptical about #7, but it was OK. I can see some scenes and lines taken from the other movies, which turned me off a bit, but R2 and C3PO being back and a somewhat newer plot line helped me enjoy this episode. I have watched it 3 times since purchasing it and find something new each time. So overall, I am glad I bought this for the collection.

I was skeptical of the reboot. I was wrong. This is a well crafted film. It fits the formula George Lucas made famous, and brings it along with a new cast of heroes. I look forward to the adventures of Po, Finn and Rae, as they learn about themselves and battle the forces of evil.

I have seen this movie on the big screen. I liked it so much that I purchased it when it came out BlueRay/DVD. At home my 40" flat screen is hooked up to a stereo. I think that the quality of sight and sound is close to that at the theater. The story itself does the series justus.

The big knock on this film is that it rehashes many of the plot points from the first film. It does. But with a new cast of characters, along with those you loved from the first trilogy, it's a fresh re-telling of the story. Plenty of action, likeable leads and tremendous visuals.

On May The Fourth Be With You Day Best Buy had a great deal on the Star Wars Movies in Blu-ray. I didn't have any of these in Blu-ray so I bought all but the fourth (1st in the prequel series). It was out of stock. Now I can do a marathon with my wife (her idea!) and watch in HD.

I really enjoyed this movie. It follows the Star Wars series and remains true to the original feel, but did not include as much of the stupid, humerus characters as the fourth through sixth installments (read: Jar Jar). It brought a more mature take on the series. Well worth it.

This movie left me wanting for more. It brought back the feelings of the originals. A lot of people said this was too much like the original...first time I saw it, I did not like it. I had high expectations. Second time, I loved it and would recommend watching it again and again.

I bought the bundled BR/DVD/ Digital copy but this DVD proved good so far in our player. My brother bought the DVD in another retail store and he had glitches when he played his copy. My copy worked just fine in his player! Thanks Best Buy for having what we want when we want it!

If you like Star Wars you have to own this. Effects are great; it's amazing to see the progress since the original Episode IV was released in 1977. The thread of the story line continues, albeit featuring the next generation of Jedi, and ends with a nice lead in for Episode VIII.

There is not much to say it is a Blu-ray. How good the movie is has nothing to do with the ease of finding the item, the quality of the packaging, and the speedy checkout. Was a good movie, felt like too much of a remake of New Hope, but hey I own it and will watch many times.

So, I am married to a star wars fan , I am a fan too but he is on whole nother level than I . I love how they introduced the story line and got me hooked , watching and taking in every scene. The movie moved along quickly and made this fan pretty happy with the new characters.

....It was so great to finally see this movie in full HD. I was on deployment when it was released in theatre's and although Disney did provide a screening for the troops it was low quality and had a watermark to protect it from piracy. The Blu-ray looks great and sounds great!

I was amazed with how wonderful they recreated the best adventure ever . I feel a little funny calling the first one Episode IV . . . but this one is my second favorite StarWars & almost as good as the first . A definite Must for anyone who enjoys a good movie . Trust the Force .

It really wasn't going to matter what this movie looked or sounded like ... I was buying it come heck or high water. And it doesn't disappoint: crystal clear picture and deep sound make it *almost* as good at home as in the theater. Now if only I could find a home ICEE maker ...
