Plenty of action. Great special effects. Good story line. I definitely would recommend this movie to anyone who likes action and drama. I purchased this for my nephew for Christmas. He is starting his own collection of Star War movies.

My kids have never seen any of the Star Wars Movies. They got all of the movies for Christmas. We've watched one a week on movie nights. Well be going to see the latest one in theaters soon!

4k transfer is pretty good. Revisiting the prequel trilogy brought back some fond memories. The movie is actually better than I remembered. Nice packaging.

My least favorite of the saga. Darth Maul is very fun to watch. Without Maul there would have been no movie to speak of. A lot of what's in this movie could have been condensed into an intro to episode 2. It's still loaded with lots of beautiful imagery and special effects though. Rear art should have been on the front.

I'm a pretty big Star Wars fan and I know a lot of huge Star Wars fans don't necessarily like the prequals. I thought The Phantom Menace did a good job of setting the basis of just how the story began with Luke's father and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

I have never seen any of the Star Wars movies, and since the new one was coming out, my friends decided that I needed to get them and see them. Loved that Best Buy had them on special in the metal cases, Great add to my movie collection.

I have had the star wars vhs tapes, dvds and redone dvds, i had to have the Blu-Rays, and when they came out with the steel case i thought that was just too awesome to pass up. the cases are cool, of course the Blu-Ray is awesome.

The Phantom Menace is an okay film, which some will enjoy while others will not. However, if you are a Star Wars fan, this is a great collector's item. The back of the steelbook is actually the original art of the movie and contains artwork of Anakin Skywalker in the Jedi Temple inside of the steelbook.

The bluray version provides better sound quality over the standard dvd version I had purchased when this movie was first released. The collectable steelbook is very nice and is a great added bonus for only a couple bucks more!

If ever there were a time to buy the Saga its this year. its truly the year of star wars and these collectors steelbooks are perfect i had to get them all I am a huge fan.

Great quality release though Could have added more bonus features, but still worth owning in UHD! Film was enjoyable…. I know there’s very strong opinions on both extremes though.

Episode I is better after seeing The Rise of Skywalker. All of the beginnings are revealed in spectacular Lukas Film fashion. A must have DVD for the Star Wars collector.

Was so happy to finally get this movie on bluray, and it came in an awesome steelbook too. Can not wait to get all the other Star Wars movie steel books.

The steelbook is absolutely beautiful and I love the whole collection! The HD quality is noticeably better in the prequel trilogy. If you are a collector and love the Star Wars universe as much as I do, this is a must!

Love the classics. Happy to have the entire Star Wars Steelbook collection. If you're a fan you have to collect them all. Looks great in HD on bluray. Loved Darth Maul in this one but totally underutilized.

I use to watch it on dvd, but the blu ray movie I watched is much better because of the better picture and perfect sound. It also has more bonus content than the dvd.

Underrated movie. Lots of fun, and introduces us to some fan favorite characters. Not to mention it has the best lightsaber fight in the whole saga.

Episode 1 of the Star Wars movies was pretty good. The Steelbook graphics are awesome. I just sold my Star Wars DVD collection and am going to replace them with the awesome Blu Ray Steelbook editions..

Great movie great price and was able to find it easily on Best Buy’s website and was able to pick it up from the comfort of my car.

I chose to go with the individual steelbooks for my Star Wars video collection instead of the boxsets. They look much better on my shelf as individual episodes, but that's my personal taste. While this particular steelbook is beautiful with Darth Maul on the front and the Episode 1 poster on the back, i must warn you that this is a stripped down blu ray set. There are no special features on this disc. While the picture looks fantstic in 1080p, it lacks all of the fun behind the scenes stuff that i personally enjoy. It's a huge disappointment in that regard. There's only one disc and it's the main feature (the movie). I'd say go with this if you are willing to sacrifice the fun extras like i did. I kind of regret it, but then again, i don't because the steelbooks look so amazing.
