Here's the deal: Episode One is no one's favorite Star Wars movie; but as a standalone, sci-fi movie, it does its part. There is a complete story, character development, political subplots, and an epic movie score. I like it as a movie, even if it is subpar as a Star Wars movie.

Do you really need a review? It was great to have it kick off again from the last one in 1983... I remember counting on my fingers how much older I would be when I was a kid when the next one would be UGH LOL

I finally got this even though I can't go into details but talk about headaches. I got it though and I love it.

This is more a review of the Steelbook Blu-ray format which is my packaging of choice. The Prequels speak for themselves. As a whole they are flawed and disappointing. Again, I highly recommend the Steelbook, just wish there was a better Star Wars movie in it.

Had the original movie on VHS and needed to get it on a newer platform. Only thing i did not like (which they have done to all the older movies in the series) is that added extra scenes into the movie that i feel take away from the movie. But that is just my personal opinion

The steel case is awesome, having you g children many of the cases get damaged rather fast but you can tell these will stand up to the test, but from a collector's view the cases look awesome!

A lot of people bag on the prequels but I honestly didn't mind them because I grew up with them. I also enjoyed episodes 4-6. How I remember, this movie was why I became enticed with the franchise. I bought this blu-Ray edition and loved the memories beginning to flow.

The Phantom Menace is a great 4k addition to my Star Wars collections and is a must purchase.

My son wanted to see TPM after catching sight of Darth Maul in The Clone Wars cartoon, so after checking my local Best Buy I snagged the Steelbook edition. The film looks great on Blu-ray, and the Steelbook makes for very attractive packaging for your collection.

I was really happy to grab the collection from Best Buy in Steelbook. I did not yet have these movies in Bluray so it was a good way to get them in that format along with the Steelbook version.

Can't say this movie is an oscar winner but I have to watch it every time I rewatch the whole Star Wars movies. The tin case is great and the disk quality is as to be expected, perfect.

I love these Star Wars movies and getting a chance to purchase these movies on the Steelbook concept, AWESOME!!

I thought this was a good scifi movie if you are a Star Wars fan or not. I have enjoyed all of the original Star Wars movies but am not a purist a some did not look favorably on this series. My family and I enjoyed it. Plenty of action but not too gory for kids.

I bought SW episode 1 to replace a dvd that had some scratches. The blu ray worked as expected. We were able to prepare properly for episode 7.

Don’t believe the phantom menace doesn’t deserve that much hate and the new version with cgi and 3D was way better

Purchased as a deal of the day. Great price and I was wanting to update my collection to Blue-Ray so this was pretty perfect for me. I'm not reviewing the movie, but just the purchase.

This was one of three Star Wars DVD’s I gave to my grandson for Christmas. He was so happy to get them & has watched all 3.

The Star Wars series is legendary. Not only is available on beautiful high definition, but it's now available in an awesome steelbook collector case. This is a must for any Star Wars fan!

Although I bought all of the Star Wars movies awhile back (I had the original 3 on vhs) I wanted to get all of them on blue ray. Great movie even after all these years!!

Obviously this movie is awesome so its a no-brainer to buy. But the steelbook is awesome. I just wish it included the DVD version too so I can get rid of my dvd set. But very cool case
