It's fantastic to have Star Wars in 4K but that being said I feel that the Box set was overpriced.

As my subject line states, I am also a fan of all Star Wars and first saw A New Hope when I was 5 years old. This followed by seeing the following 8 films on day one or earlier with my family/friends passing this onto other generations. During this span of time I have purchased multiple box sets, versions, and still own to archive from VHS, Laserdisc, DVD, Blu-ray, so was excited at the announcement of a Best Buy Exclusive 4K set. I preordered immediately based on imaging how great each film would look in 4K even with limited details and no description of what versions of the films would be included in the set. Before I go on I need to note my favorite set still, is the exclusive Best Buy 2008 DVD 6 film set which came in an aluminum Tin and my belief the last set to include the Original unedited Legacy Trilogy versions; (Yes, Han Shot First!). Based on this prior set I believed I would not be disappointed at another Best Buy exclusive 1st 9 film Box Set, I was wrong. The only two positives is the sleek black encasing of the set and yes the films look beautiful in 4K. However prior to advance to watch the movies, the menus are limited and look less advanced in today’s technology and dating as basic as some of the original Laserdisc or DVDS! The Mark Hamill letter is a small printed, hard to read, on a mini wedding announcement type invitation paper. Unfortunately the original versions of the Legacy Trilogy is not included. Even as The Skywalker Saga 9 films are completed, for now, this set is a letdown compared to the more recent, far less expensive Blu-ray Set of the 6 films. Even during COVID19 with stay home recommendations, my 16 year old son and me were excited to still receive the box set on release day. Both ready to have a marathon of watching all 9 films we were quickly and sadly let down of the limited set. This leads me to believe if George Lucas was still overseeing production of his former owned franchise, this would have never been approved and included much more technology quality and content for the fans. Save your money during this time in hopes Disney or Best Buy rights this version in a future galaxy not far far away.

A little overpriced, but this is still a really nice Collector’s set for Star Wars fans.

Love the movies and the look of this boxset. However it is impossible to get the discs out of the cardboard slots with out gripping both sides of the disc and pulling with all of your might. At best you end up with a smudge disc at worst you will have scratched unplayable disc is a single microscopic speck of something solid gets into the sleeve.

Excellent piece!! Great to have an option for all movies in one box! Great quality!

A must have if you love the series. I just wish it was a steelbook

Great collection and it gives a copy of both 4K and regular Blu-ray for every movie.

Another set with those annoying (and dangerous) cardboard sleeves; I don't know who approves these things. In time, the discs WILL get scratches on them. Sad really, because (other than that) the quality of the set is beautiful and the 4K versions are wonderful. I would not recommend the set to someone who wants to enjoy the movies often.

This is a nice upgrade to my collection. Finally 4K release on the first two trilogies.

Great collection, the only downside is the original theatrical cuts are still not included.

Star Wars 4K?! Awesome! Great picture, great sound, best collection ever

The set is beautiful and the 4K picture quality is absolutely stunning, but be prepared for the item to arrive damaged. Best Buy's shipping is not the best and proper care is rarely taken to ensure that the product arrives undamaged, so if you're a collector and have the opportunity to purchase this set in-store, go that route.

As great as this set is it should have included the 4K releases of Solo and Rogue One.

Star Wars has never looked better than in 4K. And, the packaging is great.

First, the glue damages the front of the box. Wish I could exchange for that alone. The book inside is beautiful, but the discs are way too tight. Very difficult to remove. I should have bought these individually. Content is wonderful though!!!! If it wasn’t for the heft price tag and botched box I’d have scored it higher

A must for every Star Wars collector to have in their collection.

I have every collection of StarWars since the 1993 definitive collection. And is based solely on cost and quality of the physical product this might be the worst. I felt I may have gotten a knock off at first (it wasn't). The board pages are all warped and curved. The disc's are all stamped poorly and have a little notch of eceyone. The ribbon is frayed terribly within 3 openings. Calling this the Skywalker collection also Feel like a rip since they throw in 3 other terrible movies... They could have used that space for better content like a book, a shirt, or a piece of film like the Blu-ray collection launch. It feels odd being upset that they put in more movies than I wanted but they are charging soo much should have just thrown in Solo and Rougue One of they were going to be loose with naming. A character that is poorly placed in a trilogy for less 5 minutes should not have the name associated with it. They are hoping fans of the first 6 will give in a enjoy it all.. They are ruining the entire collection by associating all of the movies like that. It is like saying the Star Wars holiday special is a serious movie and is the real Chewey. Anyways... Sorry about the rant... But I feel this is not worth the 250$MSRP. Final notes: Poor Physical quality No Physical extras Not just the Skywalker movies but also not all of the major release movies 42$ a movie if you just want the UHD versions of the Main 6 movies.
