Customers commend the game itself, its price point, and the fun factor, highlighting the enjoyable experience and cool toys. Positive feedback also mentions ease of use, the Star Fox theme, customization options, and the engaging storyline. However, some customers note that the controls could be improved, and the difficulty may be challenging for younger players or those new to the game. A few also mention limitations regarding the number of ships and the sturdiness of the physical figures.

My son and I like to play it, we bought an extra copy to have two ships in play at a time. Best part is Star Fox. Though I wish they had made pilots of the rest of the team.

An exceptionally fun space-shooter, made even better by the inclusion of Star Fox content. If, after watching a video or two, you think this game *might* be up your alley, I highly recommend it.
"But JayGee, why did you give the game only 4 out of 5 stars if its so great?" you ask. Great question. While the game can be enjoyed without purchasing any of the extras, you'll have a much better time after buying at least one other ship. That kind of pay-to-win stuff isn't great, but the game is incredibly fun, so maybe its less of a big deal (and perhaps even a positive if you enjoy a good challenge.)

This was a great deal. You get the game, space ship, and 2 characters. You connect these up with your Joycons and play that ship and character in the game. Great product.

What makes this game is the inclusion of Star Fox. Without the team, it wouldn't be bearable. The other charaters are weak and story a bit derivitave. The missions are fun, if not repetitive. Nonethless, playing in an open world full of missions and enemies as Fox is exhilirating. Not to mention the Star Fox theme that plays whenever the team is called into battle is extremely satisfying. Thankfully playing with the physical ship is optional, as I opted to play in handheld mode.

Ever since this title was announced I wanted to get it but it was to expensive at its release so I waited I regret waiting bc some of the toy accessories (while not required for actual gameplay but look cool on display) are no longer available. You can play this whole game with Fox in the switch version and he fits right in with the rest of the crew tho at some points it does seem like he and the other star fox members r just slapped haphazardly in certain cutscenes as if to remind you “hey we exist to guys” I would absolutely recommend picking this up before Ubisoft takes the physical editions from stores a MUST have for any physical only gamer

The reason to buy the Switch version over the other consoles is because Starfox (and his accompanying ships and levels) is exclusive to the Switch console.
The game itself is fun, but be prepared to grind a lot if you need to 100% complete everything. If you're like me, you'll only really care about the Starfox stuff. In which case this game is a lot of fun because this game really does feel like the old school Starfox games. You don't absolutely need the other ships/weapons and can complete the game with what you get in the starter pack, but the optional stuff is a cool addition.

bought it on sale for 10$ and I am glad I did as it is definitely worth more than that. Only got the chance to play it for a few hours but it is fun as a Star Fox game.

I did not want to pour money into another toy-to-life game and I also did not have the shelf space so I opted against buying Starlink and its physical toys. When the Microsoft (online) Store had the Deluxe 'digital' XBox One edition for $25 I bought that and got all the ships, weapons and pilots that were available at launch. (NOTE: there is a Collection 2 Pack with even more ships, pilots and weapons). Then when I saw this special Switch Starter Pack for $6, it just seems like a nice item to have so I bought it. I don't even have the Switch so this box will just be on display in the game room.

Game is a lot of fun and Starfox just makes it that much better, my only complaint would be the requirement to connect the ship to the joy cons once every 7 days..
I play handheld mode only and have a case around the Switch that locks in the joycons, so having to take the case off to connect to the ship... and then put the joycons back on the Switch and the case back on...
NFC like the Amiibo's would have been much better.
If I buy any other weapons/ships/pilots etc it will be DIGITAL only. Kinda only bought this for Starfox and the physical copy of the game.

As big Starfox fan from the Nintendo 64 days this game really hit the spot. The toys went to the kids to play with as action figures and they loved them.

I picked up Starlink Battle for Atlas for the Nintendo Switch because my favorite characters from one of my favorite Nintendo series made a comeback and it came with a replica of one of the most iconic video game vehicles, the Star Fox Arwing. This was my primary reason for getting this product but I also am interested in the Star Fox team's involvement in the game's main story. This is a fun game and the Arwing toy and figurine of Fox and Mason serve a purpose in the game. Various vehicle loadouts can be accessed through the special controller and the weapons can be switched on the fly. This is a fun game of combat and exploration.

The Starlink version for the Nintendo switch is probably the best version to purchase, as it involves the Star Fox characters. Well, I guess this could be a bad thing for some gamers, but most Nintendo players will enjoy it.
My favorite thing about this game is putting a spaceship onto your controller and shuffling the guns physically as you watch the game alter your ship in real time. Though it might be too complicated for younger children, this component will definitely appeal to them.

This starter kit is troublesome...

Owning a decent size Arwing toy with a mini Star Fox figuring is pretty cool. The game is pretty good too, a typical open world Ubisoft game but it's a space adventure, filled with different sorts of enemies to fight, neat planets to see, and the ship swapping features are awesome. Not only is it the craft, pilot and weapons you can change out, but so are the wings and each of this affects the ships performance, you can even swap out parts of the Arwing too.
But why is this starter kit a problem? It sells you short on the in-game content, you get two ships, two pilots, 3 weapons (the Arwing carries its own set of weapons if you dont mount extra weapons on). If you were to get the Digital Edition for $59.99 on the Nintendo eShop,5 ships (one of them is the Arwing), 7 pilots (Star Fox too), and 12 weapons to use in game. YOU CAN NOT EARN THESE ITEMS IN GAME. So either you get a toy that you'll use a few times for $74.99 and some weapons, or you get almost all the ships, weapons, and characters for $59.99. The game itself is cool with personality but its hard to me to encourage getting this starter pack if you favor having in game content.

This game is a good game on the Switch. I was able to pick it up for $5.99. I have not played with the figures that cam with it, but the overall experience with the game is good so far. I don't like the fact that you have to pay to unlock all the other ships and weapons, but if you wait you can more than likely catch those items on sale.
Gameplay so far is about the same on every planet but it is still fun to go from planet to planet and see how different they are. Also you get to play as Star Fox!!

I bought a digital copy with all the upgrades a year ago, but when is saw the physical copy with the ship on sale so cheap I couldn’t resist. This is a fun game especially for the price. Lots to do, although it may get a bit repetitive for some people after awhile. You can purchase the game physically and get the add-ons digitally if you don’t want to sink a ton of money into the toys or have to constantly switch weapons and stuff. The add on price on the eShop is a little spendy but it goes on sale all the time.

Great for the price and if you are a star fox fan its even better but it is only in the nintendo switch pack not sony nor xbox. A great bundle game included. They way you build the ship is the way it will appear in game. Pretty neat game mechanic. You can swap pilots and guns of the ship even the whole ship itself. Or you can edit it in game and have other ships in game. Game is decent if you like space exploring games it is a grinding slow pace game but it is good.
