STARLINK IS THE GREAT CHOICE FOR REMOTE LIVING OR THOSE ON THE GO. LIVING IN A REMOTE AREA HAS BEEN DIFFICULT. TRUED USING HOT SPOTS BUT THEY WERE NOT DEPENDABLE AND A WASTE OF MONEY. OUR STARLINK HAS BEEN GREAT

A game-changer for rural high-speed Internet

I wouldn't use it in urban areas. I use the monthly rural plan for camping and outdoor adventures so I can pause/start the plan as needed. The service isn't cheap, but speeds have improved 2-3x over the past year. In my opinion, this dish is superior to the older ones because the router is faster and there are no moving parts (just point the dish north or up). Consider the mini unit if you are packing for outdoors or using the dish as-needed on trips. It's nearly as good as this one, is much smaller, and has cheaper plans available.
