Fun survival horror game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is my first game in the series and first Xbox One game for the Xbox One console. A bit of spoiler in this review. The game is quite difficult in the beginning where you choose 2 characters to begin with. Then you will find a random place called "home" to settle down and recruit more members to help you. What makes this game difficult is that resources (ammo, gas, food, medicine, etc) are very limited and the members will leave you if the moral is low enough. On top of that, you'll have scout resources and defend your home. If the character dies in the game, s/he is gone in the game. You can be a good or bad character in the game too. This game has a little bit of The Walking Dead flavor in it and that's what I think of after playing it for a few days. The graphic is bad if you are not playing it on Xbox One X, sound effect is great, but it has some bugs. Last but not the least, it offers online co-op up to 4 players which you can help each other out.

I like how you can switch from one character to another and build communities. Its a thrilling game to play. i also like the scenario of the game, how its colorful bright and full of life even though its full of zeds.

I cannot wait for this game...however...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have played State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition for a lot of hours (perhaps too many... lol) and it is one of my favorite "survival" style games of all time. However, the way Microsoft is treating this game... almost makes fans like myself feel that they hope it will FAIL and not OUTSELL their highly advertised 'Sea of Thieves'. Dropping the price point of a game BEFORE it's released raised a few flags and the overall lack of advertisements is disheartening. Unlike 'Sea of Thieves' which has had a plethora of ads including an awesome one with Sean Astin... yep that guy from Lord of the Rings, Stranger Things, Rudy, The Goonies... I am giving this game a SOLID 4 as I HOPE it not only lives up to, BUT SURPASSES Year One. Cannot give the last star until I play it. Single Campaign and Co-op.
