this is the soundtrack to the movie Stay. it doesn't include the songs by various bands that were in the film; just the composed music by Asche & Spencer. the composed music itself is spectacular. its a kind of new age modern feel of music, consisting of electric guitars and drums, keyboards and synths, as well as the classic orchestrated instruments like cellos and violins. its the kind of music that will have your memories, and paint pictures. the kind of music that reminds of you a certain time in your life if you put it away for awhile and pick it up again later. a lot of it is pretty moody, and thats what the movie is capturing. its not a typical score though, the way most films have them made. because its not the same song arranged differently, its a complete album with whole different songs. and it makes it not only a soundtrack, but stand as a good cd all by itself. there are a couple of tracks that seemed really short, but that is the only con. this is simply an astounding soundtrack that evokes a lot of emotion.. five stars.
