To start off, I liked my MSI laptop that was equipped with the Steelseries keyboard and software on it. Because of that I decided to buy myself one of their keyboards. But, it turns out I wasn't what I was exactly going to expect. The first for most is that you there aren't a lot of RGB modes you can change this into. I wanted it to change to audio visualizer but it doesn't have that. Except, have it shift from vertical or horizontally. I bought his a couple of years ago so I don't know if they updated the software? Second is the material feels really cheap and flimsy not very clickable and feels like one those cheap standard keyboards you could easily get for $20 or less. I don't even appraise this for being $50. This keyboard should be worth $15 or less. If your looking for a keyboard for a economical price better than this one I recommend getting the Razer Cynosa. Really great keyboard packed with a lot of features. Check that one out.

Descent keyboard but it’s so slanted, your hand will get really sore.

Nice,quiet keys. Color not good, flat. Looking for a sharp, color broad. Not your best choice.

Keys felt good but some of them were in weird places

Absolutely ridiculous having to create an account just to change the keyboard colors. Once in the website, it's all about stabbing and guessing your way to success.

The keys arent terrible but i dont like how high they sit

Keyboard looks cool but after getting it all setup and started using it I noticed the G key wasn’t like the other keys. It’s almost like it’s sticky and doesn’t go as far down as the other keys. Gonna go ahead and return it. If it wasn’t for the one key it would’ve been a great keybord

Works well, needed a standard keyboard for gaming as I already have a smaller version. Does the job.

key feel is trash, can't control rgb unless you have microsoft adware on your machine, do not buy.

The keyboard is fine but im disappointed at the placement of the capslock indicator. Its hard to tell when its been activated.

Great keyboard but mine didn’t last a year. Turned on the computer and keyboard is dead today. Tried it on another computer too. I am a light user, not acceptable.

This keyboard is very nice with some features that I really like. The keys feel responsive though for some people it may not be the right feel. Aside to that, I think they do perform better than just having a normal everyday keyboard which is why I'd still give it a good rating considering all of the other features it has. Having tried several games I can say it works well for gaming, and the RGB lighting does work with Discord and works with some games (which is pretty cool). It doesn't have dedicated macro keys but you can still set up macros in the software. Aside to that, you can configure the RGB to work the way you want with the included software. I like the dedicated media wheel/button and the magnetic wrist rest which is actually really nice. There are guides under the keyboard for the cord so you can arrange the cord to come out either side or the middle, and the cord has a rubberized finish. The keyboard overall feels pretty solid and well built and when I splashed water on it, it did not seem to affect anything so I would think that it could survive a small spill but I definitely don't think it can be submerged (i.e. you spilt a 64 oz cup on it!). Overall, Steelseries made the Apex 3 a solid keyboard that would be sufficient to bridge needs for gaming and an everyday use keyboard. I really like that it's quiet and the features it does have made it feel nice overall.
