it was okay not really bass-y tho and it didnt really meet my expectations.

“On ear”, so not as comfortable as over the ear. Nothing special unless you like the lightshow- they change colors.

Only compliant is the volume adjuster --that is detached form the headset --can get in the way.

I wanted to write this review so people don't make the same mistake I did. I gave this headset a 3 stars because it's just that: average. I got this headset on sale for $70, and I wouldn't even pay that for it again. I'll start with the things I liked about it first though. The ski goggle strap headband is actually a great idea, and I found it very comfortable. It doesn't fit small heads, but it fit me just fine and I really liked it. I even found out you could get different straps and customize your headset, only to be disappointed to learn that all the straps are sold out on their website and they take months to get. The earmuffs were also comfortable. I wish there was padding on the inside of the muffs because my ears touched inside the cups and after a few hours I had to take it off of my ear for relief. The look of the headset is also really nice. It's probably the main reason I purchased it. However, if you just want to use the headset with your console controller, the RGB doesn't even work so you're forced to use the long and annoying USB cord (which by the way is the most tangly cord I've ever seen) designed for PC gaming if you want RGB which is the coolest part of the headset in my opinion. Lastly, I liked the mic and my friends told me it sounded good; however, the mic monitoring is pretty weak and I didn't find it helpful. Now for the negatives... I've owned 2 turtle beach headsets before this one--a $40 and $60 pair, and both of those had better sound quality than this headset. I did extensive research on a great headset. I wanted to find the best headset for my money. I was struggling on deciding and I wanted to take a chance on it. This one had mixed reviews, but I loved the look of it. People had minor complaints, but most of the hate was "this headset sucks, get a hypercloud x." I chose to ignore the hate because they hadn't given any reason as to why this headset wasn't good. I bought it and used it a lot for 2 weeks. When I first opened it I was so excited and mesmerized by the RGB lighting and smooth look that I wanted to believe it was God's gift to gaming. I was wrong. After a few days, the long cord with the game/chat wheel was just irritating, especially when using a console. The more I listened, the more I realized that the sound quality was average at best. I like to listen to music on my ps4 while I play games with my friends, and the sound of the music was very weak and tinny. It's definitely not audio quality that I expected from a $100 headset or even a $70 headset. I was very disappointed, and it's definitely the main reason I exchanged it. I tried my best to use their software to tune the headset, but no matter what kind of settings or changes I had, there was always tinny sounds on certain words or sounds--not to mention that the headset has nearly no bass. In conclusion, if you're looking for a good looking headset that's pretty comfortable to talk to your friends and casual game on, these aren't that bad of a purchase. I wouldn't pay $100 for them, but they're an okay headset to chat with friends on and they look really good. However, if you plan on listening to any kind of music in these or just really want good audio quality, these are not the headset for you. I actually went and bought a Hyperx Cloud II and the audio quality blows this headset away. It's much better on audio, comfort, durability and it's the same price. I hope you enjoyed this review and take it into consideration. It's not a bad headset, but in my personal opinion, the Hyperx Cloud II is a much better headset for the same price.
